I'd find it very surprising if Showtime were able to enforce this. At least in Europe. No idea what US labor laws are like.

 

labour laws really mean nothing when you sign those sorts of contract. how do you think a pro footballer cant just give 1 months notice.

There's a difference between a fixed term contract of employment and a contractual term saying you must retire from your profession if you breach a contract.

Serious actions need to be taken against these guys. Just more bull**** holding up boxing. These guys signed to enter a tournament and should commit to it. If it wasn't for the tournament these guys would still be nobodies more or less. It's made Ward a champion, if not number 1 and its made Dirrell relevant in the division.
