Pirog vs. Ishida is on May 1st, less than a month away, and serves essentially as a tuneup.

That gives him nearly 4 full months to be ready by late August.

From what I have heard, it is still supposedly on.

Well, you listed Mayweather and Pacquiao PPV's.

Depends on how you look at it. It is distributed by HBO, but will have Top Rank announce teams/etc.

One could point out that the "great fights" on Showtime you cite include a rematch of a great fight originally on HBO, a "vs. TBA" fight with Alexander who has been critiqued over and over for being an HBO hypejob, a fight with Guerrero moving up two divisions to face back-end-top-10-contender Selcuk Aydin, and potentially the third best fight of the group: 41 year old hardly active Tarver vs. young and undeserving of the hype Kayode. Oh, with 41 year old "hasn't fought in 3 years" Winky vs. not even that young and certainly not a top 10 MW in Quillin. Props to Soto vs. Matthysse, even if the only real significant wins on Matthysses' resume are DeMarcus Corley and one of the weakest stoppages in recent memory against Vivian Harris (plus the close SD losses to Judah and Alexander; I scored the Judah fight to Judah by one point and the Alexander fight to Matthysse by one point).

    ---

And what's with the wave at the end of posts? Some sort of outlet for the superiority complex or something?

anyone in the top 10 would be nice, and considering how he is being shoved down our throats as a beast why not move up a division for 1 fight and fihgt someone?

i'm not big on ppv's but pac/bradley and cotto/mayweather are the two biggest fights of the year, period. i'm a showtime fan. they usually have the better fights and their commentary is top notch. hbo's commentary sucks ass.
