Dirrell knocks down Abraham in the 4th and in between rounds instead of replaying said kd, I'm treated to a full on German conversation in the Abraham corner sans translation. I'm sittin' there like WTF??? Show the ****in' replay. And if you're not gonna show the replay than at least have the decency to have an interpreter on hand so I can know what the **** they're saying to Abraham in between rounds . . . although they should be showing the ****in' replay. So after I finished cursing at Showtime and made peace with the fact that they're incompetent, I was eagerly anticipating the action in the 5th round. But I was not to watch the 5th rd - at least not immediately - because it was unceremoniously preempted by the delayed Showtime replay which they shoulda showed during the break in between rounds. Once the replay was finished we were now able to rejoin the fight, in progress, approximately 13 seconds into the 5th round. You never know what could happen in those 13 seconds and those jackasses did that. atsch Now I'm angry, sittin' there thinkin' these guys could botch a cup of coffee. Eventually AA gets cut and, again, in between rounds they fail to show how it took place. They figured it would be ok to show that about 14 rds after the actual cut. Dirrell goes on to score what should be a 2nd kd and none of the guys on the telecast have either the wherewithal or the balls to state that "the ref got that wrong, it should have been ruled a kd" . . . even though the ref got that wrong and it should have been ruled a knockdown. Then when the ref brings AA to the ringside physician to be examined to see if he was fit to continue and AA winds up getting treated by the docs instead, no one on the Showtime team said, "This is an absolute travesty. The physician is not there to treat the fighter during the fight but to examine him to see if he's fit to continue. The referee should lose his license for allowing this." I'm no Larry Merchant fan but imagine what he'd say if faced with a similar scenario. Don't get me wrong, Showtime wasn't the only one who showed they were second-rate last night. The ref dropped the ball about 5 times during that fight, although he did do one thing right consistently. He didn't bite on those fraudulent low blow appeals AA was making. What a ***** he was. The doc was the last person who fouled up last night, too. Showtime oughta be ashamed of themselves. The ref oughta be ashamed of himself. The ringside physician oughta be ashamed of himself. And last but not least AA oughta be ashamed of himself. P.S. Jim Gray always oughta be ashamed of himself, especially during the post-fight interview when he put words into AA's mouth regarding the illegal blow when Gray said something along the lines of, "So you're saying the cut caused you not to see, so you weren't able to tell Dirrell was down" when in actuality AA had said no such thing and Gray conveniently provided AA with what would appear to be a semi-legitimate excuse.
Gray was just baiting him into perpetuating his lie. He knew AA wasn't going to say it was the cut. So now AA can't come back and say it was the cut after he had a chance to see how much of a dick he came across as.
while they're at it, the commentators should have tripped Abraham while he was coming out of the corner. How dare they not do that. Incompetent *******s
Well since were at it, I can not belive how hard Tarver sux on Dirrells **** during the fights, with AA and Froch. I needs to be unbiased
What can you say about a fighter that doesnt really throw that many punches like AA and Froch during their fights with Dirrell
