[YT]F-OHGT9sN8E[/YT] I think the smart Bobby Czyz in the studio prediction Benn's upper body motion could cause problems to Gerald's timing.
why should he? Sure its tragic what happened to Gerald...but does that mean it can't have been an ATG fight otherwise ? Had he come out ok then it would've been ok to say that ? It was a great fight period...just had a tragic ending/consequence..but as a fight from a fans perspective it was a great great fight that will be remembered for many years to come......
Heck no... It's simply a truth. A lot of fighters "talk" about leaving everything in the ring. This is an example of two fighters doing just that.
Didn't you hear what that c u n t did to dogs before the Benn fight? What goes around comes around, I'm glad he got f u c k i n g slaughtered, nasty f u c k i n g b a s t a r d.
This was the night the Americans got the shock of their lives, they thought G Man was going to blow Benn away, instead their hero came home wheelchaired up.
Legendary fight. Benn took everything Gerald had, and then came back took Gerald's heart and made him quit. Had he stayed in London hospital under observation he would of been ok. Instead he flew out of UK against doctors orders and came back home in a wheel chair. Karma is a ***** Gerald.:deal
The U.K. physicians said McClellan needed immediate surgery but his dumb sister refused and put her brother on a plane back to the U.S. delaying medical attention and all but ruining any chance of recovery the guy had. Not that I care. McClellan was a scumbag who tortured animals and is getting everything out of life he deserves. He should meet his end by being fed to starving pit bulls.
My god I never knew that! Just goes to show that you need the right people around you. McClellan should have never left Steward, surrounding yourself with a bunch of amateurs and incompetents who didn't have their fighters best interests at heart is a recipe for disaster. The more I learn about the circumstances surrounding this fight the more it seems inevitable that McClellan was going to end his career under tragic circumstances.
A lot of people go on about the time taken for the count for Benns first knockdown but, let's not forget that Gmans last punch connected while Benns ass was sat on the bottom rope so in reality and technically, McClellan hit Benn while he was down. The way I see it things were balanced out abc in the end, Benn took everything thrown at him, McClellan could not. Nigel Benn, the epitome of the ultimate warrior...
Benn was a great fighter. McClellan looked a shoe-in for future all-time greatest status to many observers.
