I enjoy listening to Bernstein. He just calls it like he sees it. Hbo has been really bad of late. Lampley is supposed to be a play by play guy but he gives his opinions more than anyone.

Lampley is annoying. I actually enjoy steward's commentary though.

hearing bernstein commentate the ortiz-lopez fights gives further proof as to why the man's in the boxing hall of fame.....

HBO has the far superior production quality and the more exciting commentary. Bernstein is a good guy, but he and his colleagues commentate like the fight they're watching happened 5 years ago and he's watching it for the second time on tape as he talks us through the motions of what's happening. Sure, HBO has their biases, but unless all you watch are Pacquiao fights, most of the coverage is done with a balanced account from all members on the team. Lampley provides exciting play-by-play, Steward brings great knowledge and experience, Jones gives precise technical insight, Merchant compliments by making well-worded summary statements of the character of the fight, and Kellerman often points out dynamics that aren't readily apparent to the average viewer.

agree hbo does have great production and commentary and series but i think sho is starting to catch up and i think will soon be a lot better then hbo they proved it on saturday I liked the sho app where you get to score the fights and predict who will win and how i thought that was pretty cool. but over all the commentary unbiased

For a while I have been preferring showtime for its competitive fights. HBO has the money and better production quality but it doesn't make for exciting fights.

If only they knew what they were talking about.

Those guys are either blind, stupid, or forced to lie by the network.

    Probably all three.

We'd get better, more accurate commentary from Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, and that large fungus growing out behind my toolshed.

Showtime by a mile, but they better let Antonio Tarver come back.

HBO? Roy Jones and Merchant is a good enough crew. No need for anyone else.

Merchant is less bias compared to the other commentators. Stewart is a dick rider and so is Kellerman and Lampley.

  14. They r both great and have sexy and passionate telecasts.

I rather watch showtime, although hbo would be easier to watch if Lampley takes off those ridiculous glasses
