When I kid watching wrestling, the WWF guys going to WCW was one of the most exciting thing. Pacquaio is like the hulkster moving to WCW. Only difference are: WWF's stone cold (aka floyd) is having legal issue. Plus WCW was not backed by a monster like CBS. Situation right now is Showtime making a power play. Arum's going for broke. A win could give arum control of boxing, and bust will send him back to the dark ages of independent PPV. GBP still going strong business wise, but weaken by not being able to develope young fighters. Seems like there also having loyalty issue sorta the same when Floyd and JMM jump from TR ships. If pacquaio/Mosely does good. There will probably be a network war with Top rank and shaw controlling shotime and GBP controlling HBO. My question is who will the other promoters side with? I remember when most of the small time promoters where pissed off at GBP for stealing their fighters. HBO wasn't without fault pusching fighters towards GBP once their contract was up. The other promoters didn't have a choice cause HBO was really the only game in town. If they wanted there fight in HBO they had to be GBP's *****. Would promoters move to showtime?
showtime is killing hbo they hav been for awhile now with the super six and bantem tourney they've had the feathers like juanma, marquez, vazquez and other great fights in different weightclasses like light heavy
anyone thinking HBO would be more than happy yelling GTFO to Arum, try reading this and get some sense back into your systems lol http://www.badlefthook.com/2011/1/2...ard-hbos-2011-dilemma-and-why-pacquiao-mosley
The potential is there. It could be big. Though I believe HBO won't take it sitting down so probably not much. Eventually it will be good for both.
There are really no good fight at heavy except for Haye vs either klitchko. Altough I wouldn't mind seeing tua vs areola.
To be fair.... This is more like in 1996 when WCW started to kill WWF in ratings.... This content is protected
I have a feeling that Showtime is going to pickup K2 fights. Especially if the WBA belt finds its way to K2 this year.
Everyone who had the slightest glimps of hope for may pac can let go of all that now... May will never fight on showtime, n now any negotiation wit arum is in the can
Scott Hall vs. Ricardo Mayorga in a drinking, smoking, whoring, ****-talking and brawling contest? :think :scaredas:
when i had cable it was a few years ago i added showtime cause they consistently always have better fights overall than hbo, i only kept hbo so my girl could watch true blood (ok i watched too )
