Thursday at Korakuen Hall, headlining a Diamond Glove show (to air on tape-delay on Fuji TV at some point). Japanese lightweight title at stake, Yoshino's seventh defense. Nakazato, son of 90's/00's contender Shigeru Nakazato (who thrice challenged for world titles at super bantam, albeit unsuccessfully) is the JBC tenth-ranked contender.

Former national featherweight champ Ryō Sagawa begins his comeback in the co-feature, having lost his belt to Hinata Maruta in February.

Nakazato moving up for this one not a great idea at all.

Yoshino should get him out of there mid/late rounds.

Bigger, more/better pro experience, and I think had like thrice as many amateur bouts, did Yoshino. (with far more positive results)

...yep, Yoshino went 104-20, and Nakazato just 38-11.

Well over twice as many, and better winning percentage (84% vs. 77%)
