Roman starting fast again, Kubo having moments and the crowd cheering loudly and applauding his courage, Roman has put a lot into the last few rounds, and he's slowing as a result. Crowd doing all they can to reenergise their man...But a big right sends him down...Huge cheers when he gets up and the bell rings
Round 9, Roman has this if it goes to the cards but he's not wanting that to happen and is again pressing the fight, Kubo backing up and not firing back...bombs from Roman, nothing from Kubo...and the ref finally stops it! TKO9 Roman!
Crowd applauding, Roman showing his class in his interview, he's off sight seeing soon! Great performance by him and he'll likely be invited back over after that showing. Really coming across as a great kid here
Who says? The Browne-Chagaev match wasn't ruled a NC, if they find out its a legit reason for him to have tested positive, they'll strip him of the title and let the result stand.
Rounds 1-8 are on youtube already @CST80 , I'm guessing dude got pissed his guy was stopped and said **** it on round 9 lol.
Okay, just saying most of these cases a positive PED test results in the outcome being changed to a no contest.
I just watched rounds 6-9, incredible heart shown by Kubo, those were some harsh KD's he suffered and he got back up and went all in each time, I had a feeling it was way too soon a step up against a fighter like Roman, I picked Kubo to squeak by Cermeno, but that was based on the old man having a very active last year and a half, and thinking Kubo was a level in class above Cermeno's recent opposition, but Roman is no joke, its one thing to beat Mantequilla Lopez, but Roman utterly demolished him, and I figured he'd do a similar demolition job on Kubo, unfortunately I was right.
The reason is that he wanted to put on 18lbs over night, how legit that is is up for debate but he even told the media what he was doing...wasn't like Nery was hiding anything
So he told them all that he was using PED's? No, he said he wanted to put weight on overnight, like most fighters do, they have meat issues in Mexico, that's not some made up flimsy excuse, will it hold up under scrutiny, who knows, we'll have to wait and see what their investigation comes up with.
