Shun Sekine vs. Attanon Kunlawong, 8 rounds @ super featherweight

 

Sekine obviously the one in blue and silver trunks with the Japanese flag and Kunlawong in the recognizably Thai green & yellow Twins Gym trunks.

 

That was a sweet KO3!!!

Sekine charged in low with a high guard, allowed Kunlawong to rattle off a few shots on him, and converted smoothly from pummeling his body with shovel uppercuts to snapping upright and suddenly double-hooking the jaw. Kunlawong tottering and down on a delayed reaction. Moments later, huge straight right hand on the button with Sekine immediately following up with an uppercut for good measure put Kunlawong away for good.

 

They're replaying Koki Ishii vs. Kyohei Sugeta now. Violent mess that was. Ishii's nose was busten open in less than a minute. Sugeta kept pumping out his gangly arms with straight combos like a Terminator and ultimately got the KO1.

 

Oh, guess they're giving us a "greatest hits" of all the undercard's blitzkrieg early kayos to fill time. Now playing: Atsuki Sano vs. Kai Yahagi, flyweights - higher skill level than in Sugeta vs. Ishii but just as fun.

 

Atsuki Sano (the southpaw with the platinum blonde dyed mane) is one to watch out for. Really nicely put together combinations, fast and fluid.

 

Ryūto Owan vs. Gary Tamayo, 8 rounds @ featherweight

 

Cautious (to a fault) opener, with the Filipino southpaw Gary "Laser" Tamayo skittering away from Owan popping a right jab into his left fist to neutralize it when he shows or feints the left jab. Neither landed a damn thing outside a few grazing long-distance probes on the body.

Bit more action in R2 so far...

 

Owan previously campaigned at super bantam and was 3¼lb overweight for his last bout in October - so apparently has said the hell with it and is now erring on the side of fighting at featherweight. Tamayo also is usually a SBW.
