Jermaine Taylor cops a heap of **** on this site and I stuggle to understand why. Im not really a big fan of him, but he is exactly the type of champion boxing needs.

He is hated on for getting some dodgy decisions against P4P top 10 boxers, but really, why would you hate on him?

He doesn't score the ****ing fight himself, hate on the corrupt judges and managers not the guy in the ring busting his ass for your entertainment!

Another thing, he faught excellent competition. Not only did he take on the middleweight kingpin, he went out their and rematched him. He faugh a good Winky Wright, and even his tune up fight were against credible (albeit small) competition.

Then he faces a huge risk in Pavlik the number 1 contender, puts up a great fight, loses.......and now you all hate him??:huh Fraud, china chin, exposed ect. I've got one.....**** you.

To top it all off, hes taken his loss like a man and is gonna try avenge it. So his performances aren't the best, maybe because he isnt in their with tomato cans every second fight.

    Stop hating and start respecting.

I said it before the fight even happened.

    They will call him overrated..etc.

Taylor has been a classy person in and outside of the ring.No need to **** on him.

Good post. Taylor fought a career defining fight against Pavlik. Personally I think going after an immediate rematch is bad for his longevity as a big money player, and I am concerned about that. I think he could move up, put himself right in the mix at 168 by beating Miranda, and stay at or near the top at 168 for 2 or 3 years. Fight the rematch when Kelly moves up, which he will have to do before long.

However, I am almost positive JT is THE ONE AND ONLY fighter who EVER ask "The Ghost" for a rematch! the guy's got balls the size of cantloupes!

That's true, he should've gotten the nod. On the other hand, he should've closed the show in the 12th.

**** that HBO product of hype known as Taylor. Good potential? Yes.

    Lived up to it? No.

Bad decisions in his regard robbing rightful HOF's? Arguable, very.

Overrated? He was extremely overrated, the idiot boxing media was projecting that he'd be an ATG... even with his poor defence and flawed style. That made me sick.

Is he a good person? Not from what I hear.

Was he an embarassment as the champ? Pretty much.

    :p

Things such as hype and decisions aren't in his hands. Embarassment is a bit strong innit.

Taylor is an average fighter at best, and is not P4p material. He has heart, but that's about it.

He won the 12th round. Taylor did **** in that round. Actually 1/2 way through the round the announcers said it was Taylor that had to pick it up....not Wright.

If he had good potential, why are the boxing media idiots for predicting good things for him?
