Wladimir hasnt been fighting anyone that is near the level of Vitali's best. Wlad can jab and move from the current lot of fighters but I dont think he could beat Vitali for one second.

Vitali has better timing, better angles and better stamina. Can Wladimir keep Vitali away with the jab and hold him when he needs to? Vitali's defense is very underrated, he slips a lot of punches and his hard to find. I dont think Wladimir automatically outboxes Vitali just because he has a nice jab. We know vitali could take wladimir's shots we dont know how well wladimir would take vitali's and how well he would perform under pressure or when he is hurt. Vitali also performs better against pressure fighters.

you're dead wrong. Vitali is better than Wlad because he is a more intelligent fighter, more adaptable, more dynamic, less robotic, and has better punch resistance. He also sees openings better than little bro and he dodges punches more easily. Overall, just a better, more natural fighter.

Wlad is probably the stronger and faster fighter, but Vitali has more tools in the toolbox.

I'm a fan of both brothers. And I would say an equal fan of both, so no bias into my thinking.... I've always seen Wladimir as the less robotic fighter, but maybe that's just me. I do believe that Wladimir is definitely the better fighter right now. Now 6-7 years ago, definitely Vitali, but Wladimir has improved so much under Steward, and he's really in his prime right now, imo.

Both of them in their prime, head to head, it's very close....it really could go either way, imo.

Oh, and I'd just like to remind all the haters, that Wladimir and Vitali are 21-0 in their last 21 fights....no losses in a combined total of 9-years (even when you take Vitali's retirement from 04-08 into consideration).

    TOTAL DOMINATION.

Wlad is better then Vitali. In thier sparring sessions he would easily handle Vitali. The writer was referring to Wlad at HW being the best of his generation not in all of boxing

Vitali is better than Vlad. His style is not as pleasing, but look how he turns his opponents, counters them and when the time comes he lays them out. Even Vlad said that Vitali would beat him. Vitali is a true warrior and used to fight for free! He would fight kick boxing fight, then fight a boxing fight!!!!!!!

Too bad that wasn't my argument.

I was simply pointing out that the "Vitali's better" set are motivated by either a) wishful thinking or b) truth-twisting hatred...or a combination of both.

People who rate Vitali over Wladimir tend to pretty much wear it on their sleeves, virtually without exception, that they like Vitali more...in most cases, a lot more. In fact, a lot of those who rate the older brother higher are just plain unabashed WK haters. WK haters like to stretch logic to fit how they'd like the world to be. They'd like very much for it to be the case that Vitali's greater, because he doesn't fight scared or in a boring manner.

I like Demarcus Corley a lot more than I like Floyd Mayweather Jr. I'd like very much for it to be the case that Chop Chop was p4p #1 and a PPV draw, instead of Mister Money. That doesn't change the fact that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is much greater than Demarcus Corley.

    See now? That wasn't hard.

The first step toward recovery is admitting you have a problem.

Exactly. Wlad SHOULD be better than Vitali, but the record shows he is NOT.

No facts to support your opinion? You claim your opinion is fact and diminish others opinions by saying they're all biased? Sounds like an argument full of fallacies.

First, the only things objective in boxing are wins, losses, knockouts, and resumes. Everything else is subjective. I could think that Tom Jones is a better boxer than Wlad and I wouldn't be wrong if I had facts to back it up. You can't just say someone is wrong because they don't agree with you.

The facts have been stated many times by now, here and elsewhere. It didn't really seem all that necessary. If you insist...

In terms of longevity and consistency of dominance (no, Vitali can't help it that injuries kept him away for a few years, but it is what it is) the resume of wins clearly goes to Wladimir.

If you throw out all five combined losses of both brothers and look only at their wins...Wladimir has more of them, and over more ranked contenders.

Wladimir has more world title defenses (14) than Vitali has lifetime world title fights (12...including his losses).

Then you can simply look at the two of them in action and determine which one is more effective - but as you say, that does start getting more into subjective areas.

Vitali and Vlad are really good fighters. They stand out in boxing history. They are still cleaning out the heavyweight division and Teddy Atlas is very angry about such.

 No, it looks EXACTLY like your argument. "I'm right, you're biased and that's why you wrongly disagree with me." You're pretty much not arguing anything specifically about the two fighters that I can see, you're just starting from the position that the person who would disagree with you has their head up their ass and not moving on from there. Your opinion = Fact. Differing opinion = Wrong. I find it amusing though. I'm not even arguing with you. I'm just pointing out how funny it is to me. Next you're going to tell me SNV doesn't have an ATG jab and that I'm just fooled by my great brotherly love for him.
