The most they should offer Floyd is a fixed extra amount and the rest is a 50-50 split. How much extra is Floyd worth from his PPV numbers

That doesn't mean anything, if he's worth more it will be on the basis of sales nothing else.

You're introducing WAAY too much logic for the average Floyd fanboy to digest. These idiots prefer a MUCH simplier solution.

During Floyd's "retirement" Pac fought Hoya, Hatton, and Cotto. Those 3 fights make up over a 3rd of his PPV buys, all when Floyd was absent.

8 months is a huge amount of time. From 2008 to 2011, Pacquiao fought 9 times. Mayweather has fought 4 times in that period, so Pacquiao is more than twice as active.

That is hugely significant in the PPV market.

Thats alread been offered 45-45 winner takes the rest
If it was 5% would be 47.5 each winner gets the remaining 5%
Floyd doesnt want it. He wants a guaranteed higher percentage

So the only way u determine that is by looking at previous sales

Fans of mp buy his fights which is coo

Fans and haters by fm fights...sorry but thank the haters for giving Floyd the edge

Unless u have another way of determining sales

Your argument has a big flaw. Your arguing the point of diminishing returns. If Mayweather didn't take those breaks, you're talking about 2 fights a year. Would there be much if any drop off in terms of demand if he fought twice a year instead of once a year? I don't believe so. Now obviously if he was fighting 5 times a year, there would be a drop off for a multitude of reasons. The point of diminishing returns is not two fights though in a year.

It's not just purely about numbers.

Like I said, if Mayweather could fight as often as Pacquiao and maintain his average, he'd do it without question. If he would fight 12 times a year and make 12 times as much, would he? Absolutely.

There's a reason Mayweather fights once a year. He knows that his fights are a mega-event and to keep it a special event, he can't be seen too often.

    I think it is.

If Mayweather is going to compare his fights to the SuperBowl, WrestleMania, the Oscars or anything like that, then ask yourself: Would those events be as successful if they were biannual? I think it's quite clear that they wouldn't be.

The options of "one fight" or "two fights" seem minimal, but even though Mayweather's fights would still be a rarity, that's twice as many bouts. That would have a significant effect on his drawing potential.

Fans, haters, neutrals for what ever reason. A sale is a sale. The problem is will the two promotion companies agree on this and how the sales should be calculated. Head to head opponents avg sales per fight. Overall sales per year. Each team will use what's to their advantage. It wont make a difference. All they can do is go back and forth with each other and meet a point to agree on or again it's cancelled. Each team has determined what they are worth and won't budge too much.
These numbers are for the fans to argue who's to blame.
