Sibson v Roldan

    It's 1982. Tony Sibson fights Juan Roldan in an eliminator for Hagler's crown. Who wins this tearup?

    That's a good name for it - a tearup. By '82, Davison wasn't much into fighting and fought like he just didn't care about his chance to fight for the title. Maybe he was afraid of Hagler like everyone else.

    Roldan is a much more stern test than Davison- at least the version who faced Hagler.

    This is a tough one. I don't know.

    If Sibo gets past 6, then Roldan gets discouraged and Tony wins a 12 round decision......IMO.

    Yeah, I tend to agree...I think it would be a war for 6 rounds with Roldan getting slightly the better until Sibbo decides to box the rest of the way.

    I'll go along with both of you. I liked Sibbo better anyways.
