I have no problem with his talents, but the guy acts like an ******* most of the time. It's hard to like a person like this, whether it's an act or not.
Pernell Whitaker, James Toney, RJJ, B-Hop, and Winky Wright. Floyd is gifted. The fighters I maned are just as gifted. Also it should be noted, that the hbo compubox states are not reliable.
And every one except you and other floyd haters know that floyd had a hurt hand and shoulder in that first fight too. Floyd dominated the second fight when he was healthy
I like Floyd he is one of my favourite boxers cause you have to put the acting aside and look at the sport he is one of the best at what he does and currently is the best, and for human achievement it should be hard not to admire what he as done.
PBF is the most technically sound boxer today. He also has the best defense and is among the fastest, if not the fastest. It's also a really tough argument to name anyone else the pound for pound best today. I don't like Floyd, never have, but I'll admit all these things. However, none of that, nor any statistics, nor anything, will change the fact that his style simply bores the **** outta me. So calm yourself down, get your panties unbunched, and accept the fact that not every fight fan is like you and watches boxing for defensive wizardry, ring generalship, etc. Some of us watch boxing to see two guys go toe-to-toe and try to knock each other's block off. Deal with it.
Hey now, give him a break. He's only just started to follow this new sport of boxing after watching Floyd on MTV cribs. You can't be throwing names out there like Roy jones Jr, Sweet Pea etc. and expect him to know who they are.. Give the fanboy noob a break :nono
Floyd is a fantastic fighter who it pains me to say is a victim of his own success. Yes he will get hated on because instead of fighting oscar again why not look to make the fight with cotto.
I would like to add simply hitting (counter punching) to that list, because Roy was a master at beating fighters to a shot. What may seem to be offense to the uneducated eye was very much an act of defense. Roy did this so much that his opponents would sometimes just stop throwing punches. I have seen many of his fights in which he would be the second fighter to swing, but the first to land.
