The only way you can say Lacy at SprMW is more proven at then Tito at MW is because of Lacy's longevity there. Lacy doesn't have a single win at 168 that compares with Tito's win over Joppy. Anyway, Tito moving from 154 to 160 didn't render him ordinary, or no longer on the elite level. His destruction of Joppy, the #2MW at the time, kind of kills that suggestion.

That is all I've said from the start. I do think that Hopkins would have beaten Calzaghe had they clashed three or four years earlier but they didn't - so it doesn't really matter.

Yes Calzaghe beat Hopkins, but Calzaghe also has a better resume, the I give Hopkins credit for how he is still doing at his age and stage in his career, which does score some points, just not enough overall
