I'll have to be honest here.

I think Kell Brook is a very good boxer - however he is not this all powerful force some are making him out to be.

For MOST of his career he has feasted on bums/E-grade fighters and fought very well against Porter but since then due to the stabbing incident he's been protected once more.

If you look at his record it's decent but its lacking names and challenges.

Porter A- level fighter (could be elite one day?)
    Senchenko - C minus level.
Dan Dan - C minus level
Gavin - I would have said B level before, but the way he fights and his lack of any real ambition makes him C minus level.
Matthew Hatton. C minus perhaps, has still achieved more than Gavin so far.
    Michael Jennings - C level.
    N'dou - C level.
    Saldivia - C- minus level

I'll rate Khan's resume defeats and all

Presscott- Loss to a D-level fighter (who had decent power)
    Garcia - Elite level fighter
Lamont Peterson - Had Khan winning the fight he's A - minus, still think that was a massive robbery.
    Maidana - Elite/A level
Zab Judah - A level fighter
Malinaggi - no power but A-level fighter
Paul McClosskey, similar to Jennings and Hatton, C-level
    Michael Gomez - C-level
Willie Limond, C+ level (possibly B)
    Kotelnik - A-level fighter
Algieri - He is on the verge of A-level given his win over Prod, and performance against Khan, just lacks power.
Barrera - Even post-prime he is B, in his prime he was elite
    Julio Diaz - B-level
    Collazo - B-level
    Devon Alexander - A-level
    Salita - C/D level
    Earl - D/C level
    Gairy St Claire - C-level

There you have it, Khan has had LESS fights than Brook yet has beaten MUCH better opposition consistently than Brook has.

Of course Brook could easily beat Khan - Like anyone with a punch can, but Khan has actually had a very good career, he has had set-backs but which fighter hasn't, he's continued and fought some very good fighters and beaten some very good fighters.

Brook needs to stop facing C-level fighters and earn a fight with Khan, one win over Porter isn't enough, saying that it would be great to see the fight.

Lets hope Brook steps up his game as a world champion and fights some LEGIT challengers, Gavin didn't earn his title shot, and Dan Dan was just awful.

I don't think Garcia is an elite level fighter or Deven Alexander being an A- level anymore.

How about giving Kell the chance to fight these 'elite' fighters. Let's be honest you can only beat what's infront of you and he's done it in pretty impressive fashion. Are you saying Kell is less deserving of a fight than Chris Algeri? Let's stop making excuses for it not happening. It's a logical fight and no matter how much people want to talk about who they've faced and Khan having the better resume there is no justification for the fight not Happening. Kell holds a legitimate world title in the best division in boxing, the fight could sell Wembley making both fighters a fortune while putting British Boxing in the mainstream all over the world. The buzz would be outstanding in what my opinion is a legit 50/50 I think more than people over praising Kell it's about time some people stopped down playing him & give the guy some credit.

Khan should just face Brook if he can't get the Mayweather fight, he's a KO waiting to happen, might aswell get KO'd by Brook who would generate huge domestic interest and a big pay day.

Khan fans are on a level of intelligence with Amir himself, it's starting to make sense to me now.

You have Senchenko C rated the same as St Clare

Garcia is not elite, very good but not elite, they call him "Gift" on here for a reason.

Aligieri is now an A level fighter? Seriously, Khan is so bang average he made Algieri look good, this is getting ridiculous.

I could go on and on and on, those ratings are way off. Does not really matter anyway, it's not the point.

I agree Brook needs to step up the level of opposition, that goes without saying but so does Khan at WW, we are talking NOW, 2015.

Khan is now a joke, he is avoiding the top WW's in the hope of getting a big payday.
He is now blaming Hunter for his average performance, blaming over training and it is embarrassing.

as long as both do not lose before hand i think this is a summer 2016 fight at wembley , another year just means an extra million or two into the purse , you know how it all works guys , the business comes before the boxing . im pretty sure it will happen providing they both stay unbeaten between now and then .

    Agreed.

Brook's resume is shocking for someone who has been a professional for as long as he has.

Whilst I enjoyed reading your post and I do agree with several paragraphs, I do take issue with some points.

Your rating for their respective opponents appears to be grossly biased in Khan's favour (some of the guys WERE once at the level you rated them at, but they certainly weren't when Amir fought them) and the fact that you rated Limond, McCloskey, Gomez and Hatton all at the same level or above Mick Jennings is all wrong (disclaimer. Mick's a good mate of mine so maybe I'm biased, but he was above C/C- level and well above Matt Hatton!! The fact is that Michael got the security for all of Ricky's shows as a thank you for Mick stopping his campaign to fight Matthew). That said, you seem to have gave McClair a rating slightly lower than he deserved (imo he was definitely better than Limond.. And he won a bona fide world title).

I appreciate that you're "sick of the hype" but without wishing to sound like Captain Obvious, had Khan stepped up and fought Kell on Saturday, then the fight would have been over and you would not have any hype to be sick about!
