There was no robbery here. The fight was just that close. Depending on your perspective, either Pacquiao or Marquez could have won. The bottomline is two judges scored the fight for Pacquiao and that's all that really matters. Respect is due to both fighters for this highly competetive bout but give props to Pacquiao for winning the decision.

Everytime a close fight didn't go in favor of their fighters . . . they will call it robbery :yep . . . it's not new anymore.

personally i had marquez winning but i scored it a draw. i mean there could have been a second KD if marques didnt hold the rope and a point deduction on the low blow as well as the head butt from manny ether of these could have swayed the scorecards

You all can complain about robbery all you want, but i don't blame you. We pacfans claimed of robbery back at 04' too. So i can clearly sympathize with your feelings, after all,we are all humans.

The fight in 04' could also have been a robbery against Marquez since Pac won about 3 or 4 rounds tops! But that's another story.

Bottom line both Pac and JMM have given us 2 great close fights.

And IMO, JMM will always be the better fighter but will never equal Pac's resume and will historically be considered as the lesser fighter of the two!

According to those scorecards without the knockdown it would have been a draw.....I would probably have called that a robbery but as it stands I thought JMM did more than enough to secure the victory and it leaves a bit of a bad taste after such a great event :(

I actually admired JMM's skills. It seems that among the three of them (Barrera, Morales and JMM), JMM has the most complete skill sets. It's just unfortunate that circumstances made him the lesser boxer among the 3. With that said, I think that the fight is too close to call that whoever wins is ok for me.

I agree, JMM might have been the more complete fighter of the 3 but,
bad circumstances, bad management, bad luck and a not too fan-friendly boxing style robbed him of his true place in boxing history!

Unfortunately for him, he will always be considered below, Mab, Morales and Pac whe it comes to accomplishments!
