There's not much point to this argument as most ATG's can be guilty of cutting weight. Fighters' whole records can come into question if you bring this up. In another thread I posted about Marg facing a 154 pder and what would his chances be in that much of his bravo would not survive if facing a fighter of his own caliber at the next weight. I think if a fighter is cutting weight it does not make their fights illegitimate but the real answers as to his prowess would be shown when he is head to head with a man his size. Some of them overcome and some don't. But that's where the truth is.

 

To be honest some of those fighting at Welter at the moment perhaps don't belong there, and will fall short when they face the real big guys. I'm not sure if Floyd really belongs there. The thing is though, that welters the glory division at the moment (historically as well), and everyone wants a part.
