I don't know about everyone else but I'm really sick of hearing Tyson fury this and Tyson fury that. He beat klitschko almost 3 years ago, fair play he did the unthinkable and dethroned a great champ. He then didn't go for the rematch, had a meltdown and been out for three years. Does this really make him the king, the man who everyone needs to beat before they can be king? No way, one great win does not make you king, the man has no discipline and cannot ever reign at the top for longer than a couple of fights. His arrogance makes him believe that he is above boxing and the titles and that he can just give them away. He is deluded to compare himself to the likes of Ali. Ali was king and then was out due to him making a real stand based on what he believed in a time where the US was full of racism and discrimination. Everyone is soon going to remember just how boring fury is in the ring, but people have immortalised him since his absence. Bore off fury, I've watched you since day 1 but was really let down as a fan of you after you won the title

I agree about the king business, but fighters lie to themselves all the time, they have to. To add to that, grandiosity is also a bi-polar symptom. This is the front he puts on in public though, he also wakes up some days feeling the exact opposite, to the point of wanting to die...we’ve seen some of the car-crash videos he’s released over the years, with messages to Sinead o’ Connor etc. You either get this largely confident, in-shape, loud and proud version of Fury or you get the seven stone overweight suicidal one.

I know it’s not easy mate, but you just have to take him with a pinch of salt.

'but fighters lie to themselves all the time'

Very true, I'm going through that process right now.

I'm bored as well, but there's no denying that if and when Fury gets back into the ring he will be a fascinating (re)addition to what is already a buzzing division.

He's been shooting his mouth off since the day he turned pro so he's unlikely to change up now.
He delivered more often than not, then his credibility shot up tremendously with the Klitschko win, but plummeted with the subsequent pull-outs.

His comeback could go this way or that. He may deliver what he says he will, but the odds are against him. He may not quite deliver all he promises but still restore some credibility and win back respect. Or he could be complete disaster.
    We shall see.

What's wrong with making a thread about something that annoys you?
I've a lot of sympathy with anyone bored of Fury. Not so much because of him, because he is good value in any interview. But because of the nuthugging of people who have forgotten just how dull he is to watch.
One fight against a declining Klitchko (who also had a terrible night at the office - this gets forgotten), and Fury goes from being a light hitting speedster, snoring out the half empty mid-tier arenas against the likes of Chisora and other lesser known heavyweights, to being considered ATG. Before the Klitchko fight I recall most people thought he was a middling fighter.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder but wow. I hope he comes back and does excellently, but I think the OP is right - the level of noise has been a bit much over the last years.
