It would be a TD so Fury would keep his (mythical) belt. No way Stavros would be ahead on the cards after 4.

I don't think Warren is promoting the June 9 as championship fight so clearly Fury has relinquished any serious claim to that title.

He's undefeated former lineal champion. He's the last man to be regarded as such.

If Joshua were to fight Wilder I think everyone would regard that as beginning a new legitimate lineage.

    wild
wilder had the wbc belt while wlad was still reigning so it hasn't effected or benefited him.

    Yes it has.
While Wlad was reigning no one took Stiverne and Wilder seriously as "world champions", but since Fury ended Wlad's reign and esp since Fury imploded, the Wilder sideshow has become a main show.

lol most people still criticize wilder's resume and boxing ability, its actually joshua being a big draw and getting the heavyweight division attention that benefited wilder, wilder or aj would have fought wlad if fury didnt and they too would have beaten hum.

Not in 2015, Anthony Joshua was knocking out the likes of Gavern, Cornish, Johnson and Love in 8-12 rounders. Wilder was fighting Molina, Stiverne etc. Klitschko would have been way too much of a step up at that stage of their careers imo.

He thought Whyte at the very end of 2015. I actually thought it was 2016 or would have added him in my post above. Let’s not put a very green Whyte in the elite heavyweight bracket with Klitschko.

No, neither of them made any real noise about facing Wladimir Klitschko before Fury beat him.
In fact, Joshua said plenty of times he'd be coming through a few years down the line and he'd expect Wladimir to be retired by that time.
Wilder had the WBC title and hardly made a squeak about steppng up to face Klitschko.

Joshua was nowhere near ready and I’m sure he’d admit that himself. Wilder was a champion though and once again he weren’t interested in unifying.

Bang on! The "hardcore" have made him a martyr, but I also remember the days when he was criticised by the same group. Let's all just wait and see what he brings back, but exactly that let's see him fight, almost 3 years of talk is boring. I just worry that if he loses, he blames the break and all the persecutions
