That was "gruesome" submission as opposed to "sick". As Gracie's elbow was bent the other way. Was a nasty dislocation. Gracie refused to tap though. It was only because Sakuraba called the ref in Japanese that he stopped the fight.

 

Ahh didnt see this. And he tapped because he had a foot injury going into that fight. Naturally of course a heel hook would have made it far worse. Ironic though as Chonan was getting beat from pillar to post. You should see Barnett's reaction who was ringside and the other PRIDE fighters when Chonan pulled it off. The entire arena erupted.
