    The l-stance provides a natural movement to step in versus the dangerous wide stance which makes stepping in vulnerable to the straight blast counter attack.

    Stepping in also forces our opponent to punch down taking away momentum and snap from his punch.

    Freddie Long is the example shared with me and I think it was very helpful in understanding how effective the stance can be.

    Great find! Freddie little reminded me a lot of Larry Holmes its for this reason foreman ducked Holmes. Because he knew that Larry could step around him. This is my style as I see it is as close to a perfect defense. That is, if a fighter can learn to step around whilst pointing his shoulder towards the opponent.
