The interesting concept about this whole "noob" thing is:

An uneducated opinionated 14-year-old may join a boxing forum in 2005; thus making him a 17-years-old today, with thousands of posts.

On the other hand, a boxing historian who has forgotten more than the 17 year old will ever know in his life time, has only JUST figured out what the internet is and what a boxing forum is... He signs up in 2008, and has no posts.

Whose opinion is more valid? The noob, or the 17 year old? :think

I go from what I see. If I see subjective knowledgable posts from a boxing historian, then fair enough.

My point was considering the many knowledgable neutrals on this site, not many are picking Bernard Hopkins.

you can have your opinions, but do you need 15 threads to write the same ones in?

I only see Hopkins and Calzaghe's detractors promising that he will fail to live up for the expectations and that seems wrong to me. I only see Calzaghe and his sympathisers dismissing his latest serious opponent and Joe is the insurgent, that is wrong two times. Calzaghe already said he is going to jab/frustrate Hopkins and make him come when we all know that he won't. Hopkins says he is going to make Calzaghe fight sluggish like a rugged european fighter and we all know that Calzaghe is no ordinary upright european boxer or wild brawler... Bottom line, Calzaghe has a flicker of a possibility to have Hopkins quitting on his stool and Hopkins doesn't have more than a counterpuncher's chance. No KOs, just a highly strategical and technical fight with the loser retiring no sooner than the winner.

I did get what you mean. Was more me having a dig at the whole "noob" concept. While many are terrible, I'll admit; some are just as knowledgeable, or sometimes even moreso, than others who aren't... Because they aren't really "noobs" at all, but just "noobs" to this site.

In many cases, "noobs" to this site would out-do some of the non-noobs here. :D

But yeah, I do see that (most picking JC to win). I'm obviously not the biggest JC fan here (at all), but I also still got him by UD, too.

Hopkins will outbox and teach the highly overrated Calzaghe a lesson.
