Knowing Floyd, he actually might take on all 3, but at the right time.

1. Canelo is a big, strong Jr middle, but he's still alittle green in some areas, gets frustrated. Can't do that with Floyd. Canelo won't be in his prime until in about 2 more yrs. The more time Floyd lets pass, the harder it will be to beat Canelo. So I don't think this one will wait for too long. 2013-2014 the latest it will happen.

2. By looking at the Cotto fight, Trout seemed to handle Cotto better than Floyd by many accounts, but I definitely disagree. Trout got hurt and even outboxed by the worst, sluggish version of Cotto I'd ever seen. Floyd only got a bloody nose, but was in more control vs Cotto than Trout ever was. Again, another competitive fight between 2 technicians, but Trout's size won't be too much of a factor against Floyd. He'll get outclassed.

3. Maravilla may get his wish at a catchweight, but he'll be close to 40 by that time. Might be the last fight for both Maravilla and Floyd. To add to that, the WBC will make it for the 160 title. 155-156 or so. I think both will have slowed down, but Maravilla's advanced age will be more noticeable, but it will be a Hagler-Leonard type event where Floyd makes history and gets a controversial decision against Maravilla where the world will be split on who actually won. Floyd finally gets the respect that's eluded him for years and he becomes a living legend.

I can defintely see this happening, but like Oscar and Leonard before him, it will take the most careful and precise matchmaking at the right time for this to happen.

 

I think he will fight Canelo. Maybe Martinez in a few years.

Yet i would not label him as featherfisted , His punching power is average .

 

Martinez vs Mayweather will be a superfight for sure. Mayweather-Alvarez depending on how Canelo looks against Trout may actually be one too.
