I think ESB needs a timeout from the Pac-Mayweather saga. For all boxing fans, it doesn't even have to be from your favorite fighter, name and describe a particular skill or mannerism that is unique to a certain fighter. Lemme start it with....

Pac's counter right hook over an orthodox jab
: He lands this so consistently but if you think about it fundamentally, he shouldn't be winning these exchanges. It's not so much a counterpunch, as he shoots and times it around the same time the orthodox opponent throws the jab. Simply, Pac never has the reach advantage so you would think a straight jab beats a right hook everytime. This is a highly risky punch to throw for a small guy but I've seen him land this against all kinds opponents ranging from Morales, JMM, Margarito to Cotto. The only guy on that list who doesn't have a reach advantage is JMM. Very hard punch as he has to simultaneously sidestep a jab while throwing that right in one synchronized motion.

    Muay-Thai guard
: If you watch closely, sometimes Pac doesn't utilize the conventional high-guard. Sometimes its a triangular guard like Muay-Thai where he looks like he's looking at the ground. I'm not sure if this is a question of form over function or whether there's a practical use for it in boxing. I'm assuming in kickboxing you use it so you don't kick blindly. My best guess is Pac wants a better view of (body?)punches coming in.

That's just a couple on my end but would love to hear particular skills or punches from other guys.

Mayorga sticking his chin out and eating punches. Leonard smelling blood and twirls his fist to a flurry.. Pernell's swift movements.. Ricardo Lopez's left uppercut.

Floyd Mayweather sticking the jab downstairs. Makes him one of the best jabbers today. One of the best body jabbers ever. He has ended up outjabbing all his opponents including Oscar.

Floyd's forearm shiver. Not hating but I think its kinda "slick" how he utilizes this borderline illegal tactic on the inside.

I woulda gone with Roy's own version of the pullcounter. I'd call it the baiting pullcounter. Back when Roy was so much more faster than everyone he'd literally stick his chin out ala Mayorga and bait the other guy to throw, safely watch the punch whiz by as he leans right and counter with a snappy overhand right.
