Signing a contract to fight

    What’s the law again that supposedly stops you from signing a fight when you still have another in place?

    Not sure if there is one. Zab signed on to fight Floyd mayweather before he even faced Baldomir.

    I'm guessing you could be sued for breach of contract. I would assume there will be a clause stating a fighter cannot take another fight prior to the agreed fight date. I think this is why fighters get 'injured' in order to pull out of a contest to take up a more lucrative offer.

    law? prolly none.. but contracts can forbid it.
