Silence from The Bernard Hopkins camp........

I've always compared Bernard Hopkins to batman, the only superhero, to have no real superpowers. Bernard Hopkins was never really fast, didn't have immense power, his skills set wasn't out of this world. He was just a solid, master of survival, master at disrupting, physically robust, text book fighter. There's nothing outstanding that he has ever did inside of the ring from a technical or physical point of view, and still he has achieved quite allot in his career! and thats why i respect him.........

"I'm not that good, I'm a testament to if you have alittle bit of talent, you can achieve something"....Bernard Hopkins.

But Batman once stated this quote....

"You ether die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain"

On October 15th, Bernard Hopkins. A man that once used to rage against a establish, a man that fought for fighters rights. Became what he once hated, he became that villain.....

"If they are going to appeal, they will have to have a dated MRI scan. Anybody can get anybody to state that Bernard Hopkins had a dislocated shoulder. Golden Boy probably have private doctors, but if they are going to get this over turned. Why the silence..? Even if Bernard Hopkins was injured! For me its still irrelevant, people are acting like this wins him the fight..?Because like allot of people out their, feel Bernard Hopkins never came to fight. And being the master creating allusions and craftey person that he is, he antagonised and created his way out of the fight himself.

Dwyer makes some good points here, and basically is better at stating. What i feel, and many others feel is the issue here.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WiEHvcw0Gs[/ame]

Just like Dwyer said in this video, he made it look like he was completely victimised. But people! some people are smarter than that. I am smarter than that, and deep down. Even you Bernard Hopkins fans know the truth with this, and you know your man has these flaws. All great athlete's great people have flaws, and Bernard Hopkins is not a stranger to this notion.

For me personally i eagerly await, what Bernard Hopkins does. I feel he is now becoming corrupt in his ways, and will possibly try to abuse his association with Golden Boy. But i don't Gary Shaw's promotions are lightweights, when it comes to legal and business affairs.

But anyway, the odds are that Golden Boy get Bernard Hopkins his titles back. Which i disagree with..? he did not defend or retain his titles on October 15th, at-least the judge can make the titles vacant, and change the result to no contest.

Bernard Hopkins for me has no real relivance in the Light Heavyweight division anymore, for as-long as he has the light heavyweight titles or titles. I think we where only going to see, fights that Hopkins agree's which fit into his fantasy of being a 46/47 year old man fight, and guys that fit the mold, ****** fighters that look decent to arm chair fans, and the dum average joes. I give him massive credit for beating Jean Pascal, and that was a risk that Bernard Hopkins had no choice to take. But i feel that at 46/47, he does not really want to fight anymore! he does not really want to face guys who he feels really challenged by, guys that have him scared at night. Bernard Hopkins knows he's weaknesses, and its a testiment to his smartness, and how he picks his fights that he has survived this long.

Once upon a time he would want to face guys who he's really challanged by, yes. But these days..? No.

His look at me, I'm 46 years old and being victimised act......against Chad Dawson.

But quite frankly people are sick of it now, i am sick of it. I truely believe Jean Pascal was Bernard Hopkins last stand, i predicted that Chad Dawson would end Bernard Hopkins career.

    And that's what he's done.

In closing: Bernard Hopkins legacy for me, has nothing to do with age. But everything to do with discipline, in todays society. Emphasis is put in talent, or how good you look or sound. The smaller things in life are now ignored and are not preached and taught to society like they once where. People all over the world are late for work, and there not sacked. People in the western world grow to become obese, costing the NHS and health establishments around the world millions of pounds, dollars, or Euro's each world in health related issues to being obese. Bernard Hopkins is old school, the simpler things in life that modern culture and technology has replaced. Bernard Hopkins never let replace, some people these days make the excuse that you need money to be disciplined, and people use this excuse to become lazy. These people don't have jobs, these people are overweight, these people are bitter because they let there dreams go.

Bernard Hopkins could of been one of those people..? But he did'nt, because he was disciplined.

Do your research, PK. They've filed the appeal and are requesting the decision is changed to a DQ.

But we've got a while to wait. Anyone that thinks that Dawson "won" that fight needs to shut up and find a new sport. And who cares what Dwyer says? He spent nearly twenty minutes whining that Dawson lost to Pascal.

  5. Although I suspect that he hasn't it is, of course, quite possible that Bernard Hopkins has fought his last fight. I hope not but it's a possibility.

However, anyone who thinks that Chad Dawson "beat" Hopkins or had any bearing on his future as a boxer is either sadly deluded or simply hates B-Hop.

When the fight is changed, as it will be, to a NC what will your stance be then?

I'm happy with a No Contest, if its a No Contest! They will have to fight again..? Or will they..? Very smart pre thought out move from Bernard Hopkins.

Please don't underrated Bernard Hopkins smartness, he's 3 steps ahead of the business......

I just feel like many other people, that he wanted no part of Chad Dawson. He created and acted out and antagonised a situation, which made him look victimised. But some people, weather that be people within the sport or angry fans that have watched Bernard Hopkins throughout his whole career.

Are not as naive anymore, and can see straight through him, and understood his actions, and why they occurred.

Bernard Hopkins might be injured. But like i have stated before its irrelevant..? If you think 3 steps ahead of a game, and you understand that Bernard Hopkins never wanted to face Chad Dawson..? But he was locked into a contract.

How could the crafty old man, get around Chad Dawson, still intact, with his titles, without actually beating him..?

"Get a no contest, keep his titles, no longer locked in contract, carry on with his 46/47 year old fighter fantasy"...

    He's a ****ing great man....

We've all seen it. Dawson fouled Hopkins. If Hopkins can prove a genuine injury then he gets to nullify the result and stay champ. And that's as it should be. No way in Hell did Dawson "win", and if he were any kind of man he would say so.

It was old thread about Johnny Nelson man, so i had to delete it, and then delete the one response i made to myself back then...? and replace it with a bump!!

I was asking why Johnny Nelson never came back to face David Haye, even though he was calling him out.

    Oh :lol::lol: :good

Tbf i did wonder that myself cos i remember that interview. Johnny seemed keen for the bout.

As much as people might laugh that's a great call, If someone like Bernstein said that people would agree so PK's pulled out a good-un there.

This is a classic example of thinking in 2D, by whats his name.

Why was Bernard Hopkins leaning on Chad Dawson's back..? The foul which antagonised Chad Dawson, because Bernard Hopkins throughout the short fighting was committing this same foul..? Why..? possibly to antagonise such a move out of Chad Dawson..? Which gives Bernard Hopkins his way out of the fight..? He did something very similar against Robert Allen in their first fight..? Claiming that Mills lane pushed him out of the ring, which was ludacris.

Bernard Hopkins launched himself outside of the ring, he must of ran for about 5 meters.

I'm not even assed about you man, don't even know why i replied to you. But i have made some good point here, so i am happy...!

    **** off you ****.

It wasn't Batman that said that, you ****ing ****, it was Friedrich Nietzche!

Nolan just paraphrased it as part of the shovel-to-the-head storytelling style of that load of crap.
