IT's going to be a great fight between one of the best at 118 and a power punching undefeated prospect.. I know Perez is going to bring it but I dont think he's ready for a seasoned fighter like Mabuza.. Mabuza is a bad bad man..

Any of you interested in this fight?

Mabuza is the best 118 bar none.

    He wins this fight.

I actually think bantam is a very under-rated weight in general.

You've got Mabuza who's a very good fight, Moreno aswell is very good and could take the division, Hasegawa currently sits at the top and he's pretty decent, improving especially his power. You've got prospects aswell like Mares.

    I agree.

I really like Hasegawa. Very quick, skillfull and like a lot of Japanese fighter's, not affraid to let his fists fly. Like you said Moreno aint to bad and Mares is a good young prospect plus Montiel, Darchinyan and Mijares are all at bantam now. Kohei Ohba is someone i have not seen much of but he seems a decent enough prospect from the little i have seen. Seems to think he's a little RJJ.

I have heard a lot of good stuff about Mabuza but other than the two Marquez fights i haven't seen him before. Anyone know where i could find any other fights of his?

Mabuza is a pretty good fighter. I could see him having a lot of success. I really don't know how good Perez is, so an upset wouldn't surprise me if this kid turns out to be the goods.

I'd like to see Hasegawa/Montiel - this would be an excellent fight but it seems really unlikely Hasegawa will leave Japan.

    The winners to meet.

Was looking up on this fight today looks like a good one.

I have Mabuza to win as well.

As Tommy said the bantamweight is a good division just not many big names in it.
Mares will probably change that once he gets good.

Forgot about the super flyweights moving up.

    So you have:

    Mijares
    Montiel
    Darchinyan
    Mabuza
    Hasegawa
    Moreno

Guys like Sidorenko, Agbeko, Mares aswell. Very strong division.

    That is one deep division.

Montiel is fighting Morel. Darchinyan is fighting Agbeko, Moreno is rematching Sidorenko, Mabuza is fighting this Perez guy and Mares is on his way back on the Pac-Hatton undercard. After these fights I hope we get some unfications. Some awesome fights to be made here.

And with Abner Mares coming back, BW division is looking good. There's some great fights to be made here.. Funny, Mabuza/Perez will probably be the best and the most competitive fight of this week yet only a few are talking about it... This is what i mean about TRUE boxing fans.

Im backing Mabuza but ive seen Perez several times on Shobox and he's no ****in joke..

Not sure how much the Marquez fights took out of him. Mabuza is a beast.

Only seen clips of Perez but Mabuza really is a quality fighter so if Perez is as good a prospect as some people mention here it should be a great fight.

People are right about it being an underrated division aswell, especially with those Super-Flyweights moving up it's looking very tasty.

Any update on this fight? Fightnews and Boxrec already have the results for the Baloyi-Klassen card, but neither has mentioned anything on this one.
