    lol yeah...ten pints a week adds up quickly.
    It's a little hard if you're a young, sociable person - but seriously, if you can't eliminate alcohol, I still think cutting that down to half (5 pints / week) should make a difference. Not only in the amount of calories from drinking (and related snacking) - but it should also make training much much easier the following day.

    Cut down on the boozin. For me i just cant train properly the day after. At 31 i need 2 days to recover properly from a session though.
