Interesting fight. I think Silva is suspect to a top wrestler but also a top striker who has better and faster hands than him. Silva may be smarter though so he can overcome the speed and power difference.

^^I see Silva outsmarting Belfort in this one. Anderson Silva must stay sharp and get into the groove. This fight won't go the distance, Silva is going to lead him into a trap, maybe play possum, counter and then explode.

Belfort is one of my all time fav mma fighters, but to me he hasnt been the same 'phenom' since back in the days. Its like he became a body builder, lost his fluid combos, lost some speed and just devolved as a fighter on a whole. I dont see him beating Silva but ill be rooting for him to do so. Belfort is on a roll lately and hopefully he can carry this into a silva fight.

I wouldn't be at all shocked to see this fight play out like Shogun/Machida II with Belfort playing the part of Shogun.

If Belfort comes in shape, both mentally and physically (a big IF) he knocks Silva out cold.

Silva's confidence has to be at an all time low, Sonnen dropped him and Maia had him hurt and running away. Maia didn't know any striking up until a few years ago.

I don't think Belfort has the standup or the ground game to really threaten Silva. If you watch his fight with James Zikic in Cage Rage, Vitor gets outclassed on his feet and in the clinch and is forced to take the fight to the ground en route to winning a decision. Unlike the Zikic fight, I doubt Belfort will be able to take Silva down and even if he does I doubt he can keep him there. I see this fight ending in either a stoppage or a decision for Silva, depending on how agressive Belfort fights.

Belfort is on a roll right now. He was a terror in his last three fights. This is a superfight in the making.

Wasn't that the fight where Vitor looked flabby and out of shape? We need a roided out Belfort to beat Anderson.

Belfort goes into his shell and Silva beats that ass.

No way is Belfort doing a Shogun vs Machida 2 on an iron chinned Silva.

How is Belfort going to out strike and out grapple Silva?

Belfort breaks unlike Silva, who can take punishment and pull out a sub at the last minute ;) or knock you TFO.

Belfort can be broken, and broken early.

    I'll do you one better!

If Silva loses it's because Belfort won.
