You don't know anything about Silva do you....

He would lose a boxing match to Jones, but he is not a grappler or wrestler. He is an impressive striker with both hands and feet.

Some of you guys toss alot of insults at MMA, and I get you don't find it exciting. But outside a boxing ring, you wouldn't really want to fight one these guys. Martial art forms are actually effective and have been for centuries.

yeah i dont want to see silva beat the hell up. even jones at this stage has more than enough to make silva look a fool out there. and he still carries a hell of a punch when he lets it go. beyer would also be made a fool of except it wouldnt be so bad at least he is a boxer.

seriously last time i saw Beyer, Kessler beat him like a complete and total tomato can, not a former WBC champ.

    Now Beyer is even worse!

Silva is very very good at MMA.

Do you think he could beat the current world or olympic amatuer champ of his weight? Not a ****ing chance. Maybe, just maybe, after years of continual training he'd have a shot. First boxing match? Zero chance.

How would the current world or olympic amatuer champ do if their first pro fight was against the likes of RJJ? They'd lose, and due to their appreciation of the sport they know that so they take 20 or more fights to build up to world class.

It would be a sub 20 second freak show. And that includes the count.

yeah thats why I'd pay to see it!:happy

For the novelty of the spectacle. And because it would shut all the MMA guys calling out boxers up. I'm getting sick of that crap. At least Silvia says he'll box. The rest of these attention grabbing pussies are challenging boxers to fight in the MMA. Thats like Shaq challenging Tiger Woods to a game of pick up and then acting like he's a bad ass for it. Ridiculous!

I think that it would be competitive for a couple of rounds. Someone will go out though.

Silva is far more of a threat. Beyer is also totally shot whereas Silva is a top P4P fighter in MMA and towers physically over the midget Beyer.

I would love to see RJJ cane Silva and I would pay for it for sure. Dont get me wrong Silva is the best MMA fighter in the world right now maybe the best of all time but its not mma its boxing. RJJ makes him look very silly and gives he about as bad a beating as hes going to get in the ring. Just as Silva would to roy in a mma fight.

RJJ and Silva would only be mildly interesting in a Muay Thai kickboxing match, its not very competitive as a boxing or MMA fight.

RJJ should take his last win, retire peacefully with his brain intact, and raise fighting chickens or whatever it is he does.

anderson silva is gonna need more than a 1-1 (1 ko loss) boxing record to even be considered to be shown on telefutura for ****'s sake.

this is boxing, you gotta work your way up the ranks. you don't end up fighting someone like roy, let alone someone in the top 50 out of the blue. you don't get guys like kimbo and lesnar with 0 professional experience becoming ppv headliners.

ray sefo, rick roufus, mighty mo, the list goes on of k-1 kickboxing stars who thought that since they had good "boxing" when compared to the men of their talent pool, that it would transfer well into the actual sport. what happened to them? they all got their careers ended before moving out of the club-fighter rankings lol. now this nobody with no amateur or pro-experience gets to fight roy jones after sparking guys who have the skill level of toughman competitors (as far as hands goes)? fughetaboutit
