You brought up leg kicks...I think they will play a factor against a man who been rehabbing a knee injury and maybe they are not as well conditioned to take damage as they were before. Just to cap off your inane babbling, here's a post from earlier in the thread, a whole 2 hours ago...

I think Condit is a very difficult opponent for anyone to fight coming off a long lay-off due to injury. Condit is fast, sharp, smart, determined, and aggressive (when he isn't running away from Nick Diaz).

Logic says that GSP is a superior wrestler and all-round fighter, and will play to his strengths and win a convincing but competitive decision.

But, I can't get rid of the memory of GSP getting hit once by the pillow gloves of Jake Shields, being cut, and then starting to panic/disintegrate a little in the corner before having to be brought back to business by the words of Greg Jackson. Condit is a sharp, accurate, vicious striker; if a pathetic boxer like Shields can cut/damage him, so can Condit. And if GSP wobbles again, Condit could be the man to capitalize on that.

Ultimately, I do expect GSP to win because he is just better, but I wouldn't be Matt Serra style shocked if Condit won, not at all.

    ---

But GSP is royally ****ed against Anderson I think. I give GSP a small chance of getting an early submission after he takes Silva down, but it's only a small chance. Most likely the minute Silva gets angry and wants to stand and trade, GSP will fold like a deckchair. He won't want any of that ****.

Money where your mouth is, is an old saying

St Pierre doesnt take many leg kicks, he's fought better Thai practitioners than Condit and has nullified that aspect of there striking

He'll do the same to Condit

He fought Alves...and for the final time the leg kicks will possably play a factor later on, but they are not the key to the fight

I really hope GSP gets stopped here and comes back as the old beast he was but I doubt that will happen. I think he'll cruise to a surprisingly easy UD and then get lit the **** up by Silva.

Which we see vastly differently too

I see Condit being taken down at will, controlled and out struck, late on i see St Pierre striking a tad more on the feet against the battered and bruised Condit on his way to a UD

You see Condits ability to survive on the bottom tiring out St Pierre and Condit duly catching him with something and ultimately causing the finish late on

Therefore the KEY TO THE FIGHT for me is Condits TDD, or lack of

Im not wholy convinced i know what you beleive the key to the fight is though ??

    Matt

Why do you think it will be surprisingly easy ?? not picking here just curious

Through my debate :)D) with Stoo i have clearly backed St Pierre to the hilt as i strongly believe he will shut Condit out, that said ............................ im pretty adamant it " WILL NOT " be easy

I'll admit to not having watched the shields fight so didn't see him getting hurt by this shot I just think GSP when he's on form is an incredible all round fighter and Condit I think gets overrated due to his close fight with Diaz (a guy with 7 losses on his record coming in to the fight) . GSP is a true talent a dominant champ and depending on how much the injury and time off take out of him could surprise people with just how ****ing good he is.

I bow to the superior knowledge of posters on here but I FEEL that GSP will handle condit with surprising ease (not necessarily easy but will dominate in a way that it won't look like a 50/50 fight).

GSP beats Condit easily. No amount of wishing and hoping will change that. He beats Anderson too.
