I'm trying to trace the name of a boxing show I watched as a kid, I can only remember a few little details and was hoping someone here might be able to tell me the name of the show; It was a British tv series contestant type show similar in nature to 'The Contender' but less glossy more down to earth (more focussed on technique and attributes than personality's). In the first episode they had aprox 100 young guys off the street applying and the judges had to pick a team based on who seemed to have the most potential, I can remember tyson was supposed to coach the winner to some extent. Think I remember this was on before the contender. The winner went to train with James Bonecrusher Smith.
Finally somebody else knows wtf im on about! was starting to think I imagined the whole thing...take it you can't remember the name though?
I know this is late but i think it was called boxing academy, a lad from liverpool called Joey Munroe won it i think
