Billy it's a British Title eliminator. Would also be a bigger undercard fight than any of the others. At this minute in time the show is shocking. Arguably the best fight on it has fallen through. I'm glad I hadn't got my ticket yet because as much as I'm a fan of Ricky I'm not sitting through a rubbish show. Unless Eddie comes up with one more good fight I will just be watching the Ricky fight on Sky and I'm sure a lot of others will too.. So much for his promise of building up Ricky in Scotland far too many rubbish undercards

Billy I often agree with a lot of your comments but not this one. Kays is fighting lee glover who has boxed once in 2 years in a 4 rounder against senkvos who had lost 60 on the trot with the odd draw. His ranked 31st on boxrec its a volentary defence. The ronnie fight is a eliminator for british title where the winner sud go on and fight troy james in a final eliminator b4 a shot at british title. So how is the glover fight bigger.

The winner will not nessesarily fight troy they could be made to fight another eliminator before a final one.
Martin Ward is coming down to SFW he will dominate the division

How can you say any fight on the show is going to be better than Ricky v Crawford are you mad two evenly matched world class fighters and Eddie Hearn has brought it to Glasgow
Stevie would have won that fight easy, does the fight become better because of the twitter neddle

I think he meant the biggest of the undercard fights Bill, not the main event

Read what I put again Billy!! Biggest of the undercard is what I meant.. I think Steve would have won easy as well but it's a good fight none the less.. For a World Title fight and a 2 weight world champion this card has went from being decent to horrendous.. These cards should be at least 3 or 4 high quality fights. I know your one track minded mate but surely you see that Ricky should get the undercard he deserves. Selby had a better undercard at the weekend!! You ask what's in it for Matchroom. My answer is putting a fight that would boost a poor undercard.. It doesn't have to be Ronnie. Could put John Simpson in with Ryan Walsh or Josh Warrington.. The show needs another big fight involving a Scottish fighter

I'm not over excited about this card with Simmons v Camacho off but I agree that it should have as many Scottish boxers as possible on the bill.

I agree mate but with the exception of John Simpson who else in Scotland is ready for a big fight?

Iain Butcher is fighting the day before so would be fit enough, but could you make a big fight for him on that show?

John Thain could maybe get a 10 rounder against a decent opponent but I think he was injured, even without injury I 'm sure promoter issues would stop him fighting on the bill.

Jon Slowey recently won the Scottish title but he won't be available for this show.

David Brophy might be fighting in a 10 rounder (think I read that on here or Boxrec) but I don't think the opponent would be of the class that it would keep people happy to be the main supporting bout.

Jordan McCorry vs Michael Roberts would be an interesting fight, Jordan just won the Scottish Title and Michael is looking for the Celtic Title. This fight would be a decent fight but I'm not convinced it would be chief support.

Willie Limond would probably be the biggest name that could fill the main undercard by defending his Commonwealth Title but I don't think he would get on the bill due to promoter issues.

Craig McEwan vs John Ryder has been mentioned, it could be made because Craig has signed with Alex Morrison. Them having an eliminator for the British Title would be a decent clash of styles and also be a good fight. Craig has fought decent names and John looked good against BJS.

I'd like to hear about any other Scottish fighters people would think could be the main support for this bill at this notice?

Kris Carslaw would be a good shout. He has been in and about title level. But agree their isn't many. Or even Gary Cornish against a decent level of opposition but again I see what your saying about promotional issues.

There is a few fighters fighting the night before but I'm sure they would jump at the chance of being on Sky.. To be honest the Craig Mcewan v John Ryder is a good chief support if it could be made. It's a good 50/50 fight and I'm sure some of those tickets that Steve has sold would go along to watch Craig.

What's your plans next for Darren David? I would like to see him in with Jon Slowey or Kris Hughes both good fights. When's your next show planned

As you say butcher has a fight Thani has a fight, Ryder has a fight coming up
Don't think willie would make the weight in 3weeks
Very unfortunate what happened to big Steve but I'm sure the biggest percentage of fans will go those who don't there tics will easy get snapped up sell out 9-10,000

Who do you think should be made chief support?
Would you rather see it being a Scottish fighter or just a good fight regardless of where they are from just to make the show better?

Want Darren back in the ring asap, he has been carrying a virus for about a month so he isn't back in full training yet. I would be looking for Darren to be fighting for the Scottish Title at our next show in June but would like at least 1 warm up fight before that.

I am not in the business of matchmaking but I know Darren would love to box Jon Slowey after feeling hard done by in a Scottish final but I'm not sure when that fight will happen with Jon going to be out for a while.
