I think Brown gets stopped here. His stationary feet and bending at the waist aren't ideal to take on Jackson. Yes, Brown had decent countering ability, but he could be tagged and I'm not convinced he is much quicker than Jackson in terms of hand speed. Jackson had a huge punch but he had an ability to move somewhat and loved to bang the body early on. I think he finds success with his bodywork and opens up in the later rounds as the fight becomes more of a pitched battle. Brown loves to set traps and look for counters. This means Brown's feet are set and he lets Jackson lead too often. Jackson by late stoppage in a good fight.
Whoever Jackson hits solid, is going to go. I see Jackson catching Brown solid sometime in the fight....Brown's legs start doing the "chicken dance", and the ref moves in quick before Brown gets really hurt.
Unless brown walks into a sucker punch which is possible .he would bust up Jackson and stop him late .brown is a better fighter in all respects except power but still has enough to stop Jackson.
I actually like Brown more as a fighter but Jackson's power is ultimately the great equalizer here. At somepoint in this fight Brown is going to get clipped by Jackson. Jackson by KO in the middle rounds. On a side note, it's nice to see Simon working as a trainer these days. I always enjoyed watching him fight but I think he should have hung the gloves up earlier then he did. Those late career beatdowns from David Ried and BHOP were hard to watch. He was a great fighter at 147.
As a previous poster noted Brown was at his best at welter. He started slipping when he went up in weight. If fighters like V.Pettway and D.Reid stopped Brown at Super welter. I'm positive J.Jackson stops him..... Probably brutally.
