Good matchup! I like Simon in this one with his pressure and aggression. I think Veron would definitely have his moments but would be unable to keep Brown outside for the full 12 rounds. I see a good tough and competitive fight that ultimately Brown takes over and possibly even stops him late.

Interesting fight, one I'm not sure of tbh.

Simon Brown has gotten his fair share of love this last week, ain't he?

    Brown by late stoppage imo.

I have doubts about Forrest handling Brown's pressure all night, and also doubts about Forrest's chin holding up to Brown's power.

    Brown KO 10.

I think Brown beats Forrest in a similar way to how he beat Blocker and Norris.

Forrest, may he R.I.P, flattered to deceive for the most part in my opinion. A slightly below top class fighter who curiously had Mosley's number quite emphatically. To do a number on Shane like that but then lose so horrendously to Mayorga takes some doing. Also needed a gift to beat an over-the-hill Quartey.

Blocker (for about six rounds or so, anyway), McGirt and Norris (rematch) all showed that Brown could be outboxed and kept at range, but it took an exceptionally disciplined performance to manage that for the whole twelve rounds. Brown was still good enough to go 2-2 against those guys. Forrest often didn't make the best use of his height and reach and got dragged into brawling exchanges when he didn't need to - he should have been a lot harder to hit cleanly than he was.

I think Brown takes Forrest out any time after the seventh or eighth round. Be a good fight while it lasted.

Chris is on the money as usual.

I've ALWAYS said about Vernon Forrest... just a good fighter with a better fighter's number.

I highly doubt he would have beaten DLH, or Trinidad. And he DID lose to a faded Quartey, in one of the worst robberies in boxing history.

He'd do well today though. Forrest was certainly a cut above guys like Thurman, Porter, and Danny Garcia.

Brown would put a lot of pressure on Forrest and give him the same problems that mayorga gave him but at a much higher level, i simply can't see Forrest winning
