    Donaire's reaction to the cut wasn't immediate which is why I think many believe it was a butt or elbow.

    Did the ref ever rule an accidental butt? at any point of the fight? Or is that something the boxing powers decided to do to give Donaire an out?

    The ending was chaos, BUT Donaire was taking control, had dropped him and the cut seemed like it was from foul means. And his eye was a mess.

    Ive no problem with Donaire getting the W here.

    This would psychologically mess up Donaire's head. Rigo didn't take his soul cause Donaire fought to 12 in that fight. But in this fight he has looking for a way out and basically quit under those tough condition.

    Did not see it happen, and I was looking for it. But then between rounds all kinds of **** happens, and on Boxnation coverage you've got the Colonel and Larry. Combined age, 15,055. I like both, but having them dual anchor the broadcast is like putting those two ****s from the muppets in charge of an oil-tanker. Larry was conducting a ****ing conversation in ****ing tribal Afrikaners at one point ffs.

    So it's hard to be sure what happened that I didn't see and that also was not covered. But I didn't see it.

    And I think the cut was caused by a punch.

    It's starting to feel dirty-dirty.

    Vetyeka needs to keep his hands up he was throwing low blows though that's the only negative comment i have on him.

    I had Donaire ahead as well, due to the knockdown. 2 rounds a piece. Not sure he was taking control. Vetyeka was actually taking it too him when he backed Donaire against the ropes and got caught with the right left. Vetyeka was back to boxing, and putting the jab in his face by the end of the round. It seemed like when Vetyeka boxed, he had it fairly easy, but when he stayed in too long, is when he would get caught. Even the previous round where he was hurt, he was back to boxing and taking it too Donaire by the end of the round.

    In the rematch, Vetyeka would be best served to box disciplined.

    Sounds like an unfortunate ending...

    Still glad Donaire scored a knockdown and scooped up a title in his 4th division.

    A real shame as the fight would have been interesting down the stretch. Vetyeka landed some thumping uppercuts, his thudding shots would have taken a toll on Donaire.

    As it is,
    1) No certainty it was a head clash that caused the cut.
    2) Referee did not indicate a clash of heads when the cut occurred.
    3) Fight went on until end of round 4, where Donaire is given the points victory.
    4) A rematch is morally fair. But boxing lacks morals, at least the people that run it tend to.
