Tyson would come out from first bell all guns blazing ripping in them body shots and uppercuts Fury tries to tie him up but cant live the constant pace and pressure i would say Tyson wins by KO in 4 rounds.

I know some will find this silly and is no way meant to take away from Mike Tyson’s accomplishments but when you look at his wins there really isn't a big win against top elite level Heavyweights, is this just a case of the division being fairly poor at the time or has the style of Mike Tyson (which was a great fan friendly style) enhances his legacy ? Back to the original question i think Tyson Fury would frustrate him too much and get a UD.

Just debating with a guy at work mate so I thought I would get more opinions, he is in the Tyson camp and im in the Fury camp so we need a poll to see other opinions.

Hmm, either Tyson catches Tyson early with a big leaping hook and drops him on his ass before following up like a savage for a Holmes style KO, or Tyson manages to tie Tyson up and grind him down over the stretch for a UD or possibly late TKO.

We haven't really seen either of them in with a guy similar to each other so its hard to say. On the one hand Mike had a few problems with jabbers that could move ... but he did KO dudes lke Biggs in the end. On the other hand if Fury gets planted by Cunningham Mike will be a revelation to him.

Then there's the unpredictables: is Mike Tyson gonna coke it up in the hotel with hoes before the fight? Is Fury going to tour a pie factory before the bout and come in at 400lb?

Gun to the head I'll pick Tyson Fury on points. I think he's smart enough to recognise his physical advantages and frustrate Mike with movement, potshots and holding. It should also be no surprise if Mike catches up to him at some point though.

Looks like a cross between the Smith and Tucker fights. Tyson hurts/drops Fury early, and has him on the back-foot trying to stay out of range and holding to stop Mike's flurries. The judges don't like the negativity, but love Tyson's offence.

    Tyson UD12.

This really isn't relevant to the topic as some of the victims on Tyson's resume are competitive if not better than most on Fury's resume (other than Wlad obviously). There are a number of guys on Tyson's resume that are still talked about 30+ years later, and talked about for more than just being a Tyson footnote. Tyson's resume was solid enough.

    Back to the original question:
I find myself at odds with this question as Tyson always had some trouble with very tall boxers due to his height (lack of), I just can't imagine him bombing Fury out, and Fury is a very mobile mover, who also knows how to spoil but I say Tyson SD because Tyson forces the action. Tyson won all of the ugly mauling fights where guys tried to hold and spoil and Fury isn't gonna get rid of him like all the other guys who really took it to Tyson and stopped him.

If asked again tomorrow I'd probably pick Fury

Fury wouldn’t be able to take Mike’s body work.

Tyson Fury has superior ring IQ and ability to adjust to issues in the ring.
Wheras Mike Tyson has low boxing IQ against boxers at his level, and is completely unable to adjust to issues in the ring.

I would expect Mike to drop Tyson Fury early. But I expect Tyson Fury to win a decision in this one.

Mike Tyson didn't beat anyone of Fury's calibre...

Fury would break his back and heart

After 6 rounds that's it, Mike has nothing left to offer as Fury mocks and taunts that midget.

Mike couldn't handle opponents who could give it back to him

You come at Tyson Fury with the same thing over and over again he will adjust and shut you down.

Prime Tyson Fury beats Prime Mike Tyson 7 days a week and twice on a Sunday.

Ain't no handling a 6'8" 270 pound born and bred fighting man.

What I will concede is Fury during his debut years would probably lose to Mike Tyson in his debut years. Mike was a phenom in terms of his execution of his technique as a green pro. Abit one dimensional but way more fluid and capable than most 20 year olds.
