I watched that video, it looks like Klitschko is fighting a man with a wooden leg. Haye should get a rematch so he can have no excuses.

If Pongsaklek Wonjongkam fought Miguel Cotto for the lmw title, everyone would say that it's not a fair fight at all because of the weight advantage Cotto has.
well Wlad has that same advantage as the example above over 85-90% of everyone he's ever fought as a pro. wladdy is good, but god damn I wish he'd ****ing fight his brother, or someone with the same size, and work ethic as him, then see what happens (shades of sanders vs wlad come to mind :yep).

He's fought plenty of guys as tall as him and as heavy as him, so that is just sour grapes.

Do you demand that everyone in the NBA be the same size?

no but you see where I'm going with it anyways. sour grapes it may be, but if Peter was 6'5 or so I think he would've done away with Wlad by the 3rd kd (1st fight obviously).
Either way, I respect wlad so don't think I'm blindly hating. It takes skill either way to be as dominant as that man has been.

Well said, that's pretty much how I saw it as well. I expected Haye to get knocked out; I didn't guess Haye would demonstrate that kind of head movement and make Wlad miss so much.

Haye would need to add more to his game to beat Wlad. It doesn't look like he wants it enough. I'd love to see Haye against any Top 10 heavy, especially Adamek.

Yikes...why does that sound so plausible? I bet there were decent odds on the over, given that everyone expected a KO.

A few points I think most will agree are valid

    - It was an edge of your seat kind of fight because both fighters have one shot KO power

    - Haye didn't deliver on his cocky proclaimations, no, but if you put that aside, he didn't do as bad as most seem to say

    - Haye didn't take enough risks, no, but he did survive and land on Wlad more shots than anyone has in a few years, and the rare marks on Wlad's face proved that fact

-Wlad had a very hard time trying to land on Haye cleanly, even when Haye was back up against the ropes, Haye's defense and upper body movement was amazing to watch. Even Wlad admitted he was suprised at how hard Haye was to land on cleanly

-Haye did hit Wlad hard enough late in the fight for Wlad to hold on and ride Haye around the ring for 12 seconds

Those points aside, it is clear that Wlad proved he is the better fighter, yes.

But given the liimited field of credible, willing opponents left, I think the reasons I mentioned more than make a rematch well worth it. I think once (if) Haye were to fight someone else and win in dramatic fashion, Wlad would then be wanting to fight him, again.

Big money fight and the it makes the most sense, given the current landscape.

It was a highly technical fight that had me on the edge of my seat. The skill level that night was very high and the stakes high as well. Haye proved me wrong by going the distance without getting hurt to badly.

You don't think Wlad will ever be widely regarded as an ATG. Fail. :patsch

God, I thought the best part about that fight was the fact that it's over and I never have to hear about that ****** Haye again. Yet his dumbass fans continue to over rate everything he does even after that embarassing performance. There was NOTHING great about that piece of **** fight.

    That's a great post.

Lots of positives out of this fight. Wlad finally got to showcase his speed which has always been underrated. Haye took some hard shots and put an end to the weak chin bull****.

Fact is Haye beats most guys in the division with ease. Lots of great matchups if he wants them. I reckon he's recieved enough critism now and I for one wanna see more fights.
