Simpson aiming for world title shot

Not sure if he quite has what it takes to get into world title contention but he is a very good domestic fighter who could do well at Euro level. Simpson is one of my favorite fighters and great luck to the guy in his quest, I'll certainly cheer the jock all the way.

 

Simpson has grown in so many areas recently... One thing that I always questioned was his chin and that has proved to be made of granite...:yep

With a granite chin and great heart and ability you are well on your way to something good... I hope that Simpson gets his hands on the Euro Title and in turn gets a shot at a World Title further down the line in 2011 or 12.. why not?...:good

 

His losses are to decent fighters that would further his career. Next time he wants to take an average bout he should fight Matthews.

 

Good luck to him i think he could win a european title but i cant see him beating any of the world champions in the division. Cant knock the lad for confidence though.

Unfortunately you are suffering from 'the what have you done for me lately' illness. Because you are coming off two losses, you are becoming irrelevant. This is a shame. Modern boxing focus too much on losses and recent bouts.

You are still fit and healthy. You are not a shot fighter. You have a worthy record. You have beaten Simpson. You want the rematch.

For the above reasons, I would love to see the rematch. Simpson avenges a loss or you re-establish yourself.

I want to see it happen because a boxer should always take a second shot and avenging losses or winning controversial fights more convincingly. This is why I will always respect Shane Mosley.

 

Not going to happen derry. I actually spoke to john on saturday about a rematch with you as he comes on here and reads the posts but doesnt actually post himself and hes seen your comments. No disrespect to yourself but you dont feature in his plans at the moment as hes after bigger fights. The plan is beat lindsay for the british, defend it at least once more to win it outright then go for the european which could hopefully lead him onto world honours. I cant see were you would fit into that just now. maybe down the line if you get yourself back inot contention then who knows.
