Bodypunches are best to use even more when the opponent Is looking drained for the weight.

that was johns tactics last time and they were working but everyone just likes to blame the cut for morris's loss rather than give john the credit hes due.

Nice avatar Hugo my good man:good

Its an absolute joke that everyone makes the cut excuse for Morris losing that fight, Simpson was killing Morris to the body & Morris was lucky he got cut, cos he was going to be stopped in the next two rounds anyway if the fight hadnt been waved off.

Let's not get delusional Dunky. Simpson may have been breaking him down but Morris was ripping him up and did not look in ANY danger of being stopped in the next two rounds.

Dunky is flaky. Morris was clearly bossing John and was unlucky to lose his title and his unbeaten record, although the shots that opened the cut were superb. Dunky should be concentrating on those shots - not this mysterious body attack in the mists of The Bermuda Triangle.

Dunky dont do delusional Achilles my man, its obviously a case of who was breaking down & who was ripping up the most, & I am in the Simpson breaking down camp:deal

Looks like its gonna all come down to the final matchup, but as usual you englanders have it in your favour, down in Engerlund with a englander ref... But like the Murphys, Im not bitter.

But my moneys still on wee Simmie to stop Morris.

Simpson was 4-0 so had already dug himself a grave. Maybe he was investing in shots but it hadn't taken his toll yet.

I'm so stupid, Simpson is Scottish, of course you are going to say what you say.

theres a few factors that you are missing though that are different from the 1st 2 fights.

    1. Confidence - ive known John for a very long time and after the dazzo williams fight his confidence took a big knock as he thought his big chance had gone. fair enough he got another crack at it against morris at braehead but he wasnt the same fighter i had seen many times before. Also he had the flu the week of the fight and didnt perform to the best of his abilities now he isnt using that as an excuse the better fighter won on the night as morris dominated from start to finish but his confidence took another massive blow.

    2. Morris has now tasted defeat for the 1st time and that can work 2 ways with a fighter either spur them on never to taste it again or it can play on there mind especially when they guy you are facing is the only guy to ever beat you so will be interesting to see how morris reacts and you cant judge him against Thorpe as hes already beat him twie before and morris was never going to be in any doubt. Also John now knows hes beat morris once so why cant he do it again? once again it all comes down to Johns confidence. He also performed really well aginst 'dirty' derry matthews and i really think if john hadnt sustained the cut he would have went on to win the fight so he gained even more confidence from that fight despite the loss as we all know it was alot closer than the judges scorecards sugested. ( as we al know there was something dodgy about the scores as they didnt add up! )

    3. John has also been working really hard on his power and this was evident of the ryan barrett fight. We all know barrett isnt the best but at least it was a stoppage and not just one good punch or combo that won hm the fight his body punches were hurting barrett from the 1st bell.

John is raring to go for this fight and believe me seeing him in the gym i know you are going to see a different John Simpson from the 1 you have seen in the 1st 2 fights.

well i appreciate you supporting Morris i guess all we can do is wait till 7th sept and see. It has the makings of a good fight im looking forward to it.

1 thing though dont you think its a little unfair the defending champion cant even get a defence in his own country? I dont think it will make much of a difference to the fight i mean for the fans sake. If it was just a normal show at least that wouldnt be too bad but Johns last fight was a dinner show too its unfair on the people who have followed him his whole career as if he loses we might never get to see him fight as defending champion again as i think if he loses he wont fight again.

As for the cuts ij both fights if you remeber correctly Morris's cut was suffered throught a good combo from John in the matthews fight it was a clash of heads not to mention the fact that matthews was rubbing his gloves in the cut to open it up!!!

And also for the scorecards can you explain to me how Matthews could score 118 and 117 when he has been docked 2 points and also down in the 1st round which was a 10-8? did you even watch the fight? alot of people talk alot of sense on here but then theres people like you who just talk alot os s**t. pardon my french.
