I watched that Smith vid on him switching gyms .Hopefully Simpson gets plenty quality sparring in man .Hopefully plenty sparring with Burns that should be plenty for Smith's skills .Smith's sparring with Murray and that now says he's well switched on .Hope Simpson wins this .Somebody said Simpson started slow in the Smith fight 1st and Smith said he's upped his sparring .Hope this ones different for Simpson going into the lions den tho and he wins it .
I wouldn't rule out a Smith stoppage i think Smith is a decent puncher a few fighters have testified to that and whilst Simpson obviously has a good chin i dont think its impregnable body work will be key for Smith
If Smith can stop wee Simmy in the rematch I will be shocked, if he can do that I would label him world class immediately as I think Simpson is world class, & just not getting the fights to prove it.
Simpson would not disgrace himself at world level just because he's so damn tough. Wouldn't mind him getting a shot somewhere along the line, but he has to win this to do that. Smith's performance in the first fight is being underrated. He made Simpson look average for quite a few rounds and he also hurt his hand. On the inside he was a bit naive but they'll have worked on that obvious flaw. He's got a great chance with those factors in mind.
Smith will out box him no way any1 can call the 1st fight a robbery. it was close and could have either way by a round or 2
The more i think about it the more i agree but i just feel he is flying slightly under the radar. We get threads on the Heffrons and Gavin/Degale but not so much on Smith when he is the most proven prospect out there bar Degale.
i really rate the kid. even if people think he lost the fight he went to simpsons back yard with 1 hand for 3/4 of fight and still got the victory
this is exactly what i was thinking, i remember swifty catching simpson with a decent body shot in the first fight and simpson really felt it, more of the same this time round could have him in a spot of bother i reckon...
