bottom line is paul got stopped it was the correct decision to stop the fight ,martin lindsay won , but paul will train harder and hopefully come back bigger and better everyone is entitled to there own opinion .

 

is it true tht while paul is still wi gilmour he isnt gonna fight again ?

paul is contracted to gilmour for a few more months and as for not fighting whilst he is still with gilmour , what was said after he lost his title was that he would be having some time off before goin back into the gym and probably wouldnt be fighting until september / october time so at this time he is still contracted to gilmour !! i hope that clears some things up . As for has something happened between them the answer is no there is no problem with paul and tommy !

i still carnt beleive people are still goin on about my win agains simpson saying how he should of won , i won the fight and i beleive i would win again , dont get me wrong john as gone on to prove himself and is a quaility fighter and i wish him well , lets hope we get a rematch sorted and maybe in scotland . and as for steven and jamie sittin ringside they come as guest of mine and had to pay for tickets , the promotors or tv didnt want them there they wanted to come them selves so got in touch with my managment team .so get ur facts right before u start stories . cheers derry mathews

It's not just Scot's that are looking forward to Appleby's comeback, Paul is well liked in boxing circles and although you wouldn't have seen it when he faced Lindsay Paul does have quite a few admirers in Ireland and I'd certainly be one of them.

The Kid needs to get away from Gilmour though, before he throws him to the Wolves for a quick buck.

derry i am of the opnion john won the fight and the decision you got was unjustified .

 

And 99% of the people i know are the same. of course derry has to say he thinks he won but we all know he didnt. Look at were his career is now compared to Johns? Says it all really

He robbed Simpson and got sparkled by Lindsay. Would do neithers career to fight derry again unless he brought something to the table. If he wants to get his career back on track he should fight either appleby or maybe even Bhatia who have both just had L's though maybe he should look to set the record straight with harry ramogoadi before he thinks of any title shots!

 

lolol i cant wait til the rematch now... shame about the flooding there last time, johns ready for him big time. I laugh now the last time paul was all i have all the respect for john hes a cracking boxer yadayadayada... then the day before they fought all the slagging started haha and john said when they weighed in at the last fight there ( the flood ) paul was head to head with him growling like a daft wee boy... im raging the fight couldnt go ahead the night as was john. Johns in the best shape ive ever seen him, having only one week break in months of training. he just arrived up from england the other day also sparring with some great boxers. tbh the whole family feels they wish the fight was over with now, but as the same happened with morris john feels he has something to prove yet AGAIN and he will :tong

 

john as been looking fantastic in the gym,im glad the fight was called of coz john has improved a bundle in that time and his confidence is even greater than before,i think john will stop paul as his power has improved greatly lately. i would go as far to say on his showings in the gym of late he will beat every feather weight in europe.the scarey thing is he could make super bantam!
