    Sad news. Always enjoyed watching Sam fight - I first caught sight of him when he beat Williams and his fight with Gomez was a great mix of styles.

    Totally agree, he did this to himself by abuse. Screw him, he doesn't need a 2nd liver so he can continue drinking and harming himself and his family even more.

    :-( horrible news. I'm glad I don't drink. I know or have known plenty of people over the years whose lives have either been totally ruined by alcoholism or have died from it. What a waste.

    I used to have that fight on VHS. Like I said, I'm sure it was broadcast live in the UK at the time, if not it was shown on delay the following day or something.
