If im not mistaken I believe Barrera was #3 by ring magazine when Pac knocked him out.

Get Hatton the **** off these lists, I'm gonna start a petition. There was a short period after which he beat Tszyu, which was a good but overrated win considering several factors, where you could rank him in the lower top 10. He's been hanging around way past his sell by date, and his limited skillset is a major problem when his best recent wins are Urango and life and death with Collazo.

 

Mosley was #1 until he lost to Forrest in '02.

Some people put Calzaghe #1 between when Mayweather retired and Pac beat Diaz.

Interesting to see Hatton was once ranked 4th! And MAB has been 3rd on a few occasions sitting right behind RJJ & BHOP!

 

Perhaps Barrera from the Naz win until the 2nd Morales fight, then Morales from the 2nd MAB fight until the 3rd MAB fight (I personally ranked EM & MAB higher than Hopkins as their divisions were always tougher + they left the comfort of divisions they were dominating to test the waters of higher weights.)

I remember seeing a p4p list just after B-Hop beat DLH & just before the 3rd EM MAB fight (from sept-nov 04), it went something like this......

1. Hopkins
2. Morales
3. Mayweather
4. Delahoya

I cant remember the rest but marquez & Pacquiao both made the list, Barrera didnt as he had only beat a past it Ayala since the Pacquiao beating.

On paper it looks like Mike by a blowout, and thats what im going with. P4P speed, power went to Mike by a longshot. Perhaps a good edge in stamina to Chavez and IMO chin is pretty even, skill would go to a prime Tyson. If they fought at LW, Tyson would be much shorter than Chavez probably standing aorund 5'4 but with even more explosiveness than Pac, the speed of Meldrick Taylor and power of an Duran at LW, perhaps more.
