Jr landed at least 17 unanswered shots when the ref stopped the fight and the left hook basically had Lee out on his feet.

We musta been lookin' at different fights,Z. As good, as crisp, as smart 'n gritty as Andy was early in the fight, he was only a thudding punch or two away from being seriously hurt if the ref didn't jump in. No shame in losing for Andy. He went home on his shield

 

i gave andy rds 1 & 2 and chavez the rest of the rds. the even though lee was hurt you could tell he could not wait to stop the fight. but at the same time andy did look kinda out on his feet. i would have have gave him a standing 8 and then see if he could contiune or let chavez bomb on him for another 5 seconds to see how he responds then wave it off thinking hes really out on his feet.cant or will not go down or defend his self, then stop it. the fight was stopped a little early but no complaints from andy to the ref or larry at the interview.

 

Thought it was pretty close at the time of the stoppage. Jr was coming on strongly and I don't think the ref was too early.

Not sure if you guys in the States saw the fight we were subjected to last night where the guy actually had to grab his own towel from his own corner and throw it down.:shock:

The fight was 3-3 with Jr pulling away. Lee was getting broken down, he was visibly getting worn down, punches were getting slower and softer, he didn't have the legs to escape at that point and didn't have the power to swing the fight.

The stoppage may have been a little early but it didn't change what the outcome was going to be.

Lee should have fired off combos and got out of dodge as much as he possibly could but I also guess he didn't have the type of athletism and quickness to escape consistantly.
