Since Crawford vs Canelo is officially on Netflix, is it fair to say Crawford is "Superstar" Status

    We always talked about Crawford not being able to sell and not being "known" by the public. With this fight being announced on a major platform, is it safe to say Crawford has crossed over on the "mainstream".

    Well, given he is fight the number one draw in Canelo Alvarez, it is hard to say the fight being on Netflix is primarily related to him. That being said, Netflix or not, Crawford already is a superstar.

    Yes. He is plainly the 2nd most famous non HW boxer in the sport. Because of the previous generation where WW/154 really took center stage hes not going to feel like a superstar though.

    Just because they put him on netflix makes him a superstar? huh? What numbers did it do? His PPV vs Madrimov drew flies. He is not a mainstream superstar. He is more of a hardcore star than mainstream.

    Bud isnt a superstar
    He is in my house, but he just isnt to the general public.
    I will be cheering him on as all right thinking people are.

    Fury is more known and far sexier with his 2nd netflix series releasing next year undoubtedly will be named "Tyson fury a day in the life of the sexiest boxer on the planet" coming to netflix early 2026.

    Not unless he wins - which I suspect he will. He's the "B-side" here for casual audience Netflix is trying to attract.

    I told everyone long ago that this supposed size disparity between them wasn't going to be remotely near as much as everyone thought it would and that there would likely barely be one at all. I'm about to revise my opinion regarding that because I think Crawford is actually the bigger man

    Only way he has a chance at becoming a "superstar" is with a solid win over Canelo.

    But the odds are slim. Bivol raised his profile with that W but he's far from a "superstar".

    No, he`s not none of his fights have done the viewing numbers Ray Leonard or Tyson did, he`s not globally known, most people in Europe have never heard of Bud.

    Yes he's promoting the fight.

    The likes of Mungia, Plant, Berlanga, Charlo etc. where in a similar spot and look what happened.
