You forgot to mention that when Kovalev was offered the BHOP fight his response was, OK, when you want to fight.

Shortly after when Golovkin was offered the fight his response was, maybe when you are 2-3 years older.

I beg to differ. Not only do I think Hopkins would beat him at 170, I think he'd win comfortably because he still has tremendous footwork.

Kovalev easily has 3 or 4 wins that are better than any of Golovkin's wins.

    Hopkins has no offense.

All the footwork in the world won't change that.

    Which ones???

    GGG is a MW and he'd cleanse everybody in Kovalev's resume...including B-Pops.

That's the common perspective mistakenly held by most fans, but I've seen no evidence of this whatsoever.

Kovalev's style is far more effective, and Kovalev has actually beaten much better opponents.

Kovalev has the better jab, the greater power (both in absolute and P4P terms), the higher ring IQ, and a far better right hand.

Golovkin's best win is Murray. Cleverly, Hopkins, and Pascal x2 are all much better wins than Murray.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

Hopkins is so far outgunned though. It's very hard to beat a fighter who is that much stronger, faster and better conditioned than you are.

Golovkin isn't faster than Hopkins, and while he has more punching power than Hopkins, I highly doubt that he can outmuscle Hopkins in the clinch if the bout took place at a fair weight, of like 170.

He's faster and gets to his spots better now. Hopkins right now has no speed or power anymore. He hasn't had a KO since 2004. And he's had to adjust his style because his tank reaches E very quickly now.

Golovkin's left hook to the body is much faster than you think. And the fact that Hopkins is 52 years old he'll be exhausted during the clinches past round 6.

It's not that Hopkins has lost his skill. He just can't hang with these guys anymore.

All GGG has to do is walk towards him and just keep punching him over and over again.

Triple Duck fighting a 51 yr old Bernard at anything less than 175 is cowardly. I imagine his cowardly ass wouldn't even fight him at 161 though.

Even if he did, so what?

Trust the art, not the artist.

Anyone who truly believes that Golovkin hits harder than Kovalev is a moron of the highest order.

I would bet that GGG would KO B-hops at 170 or below. Buuuuut, I have been wrong on just about every single prediction I've made in boxing... ever.
