  1. Hopkins is not scared of anyone. That's been well established. But he probably doesnt think Green has a big enough reputation to make the fight worth it.

And I'm not trying to slight Green's great win but lets keep things in perspective please:good

  5. If you actually look more into the issue though, you see that Green did very well in his first fight against Beyer - destroying him before getting controversially disqualified. He lost the second fight with a strange showing where he fought inhibited but was nearly able to KO Beyer in the 12th when he realized he had to do something. Green has had mental issues throughout his career. He struggles with tactics, but, can be very dangerous when he's in his zone. He started to struggle with weights and when he fought Mundine he was awful but he was also emaciated and malnourished. Just look at the weigh in. The pictures speak for themselves. Since moving up to Light Heavy he has shown some of the form of his early career. His win over Stripe Drews was impressive enough. Not great but he did everything he had to do and won a world title. And he did what he had to do against Jones. If he was the sort of write off you are saying he is, he would not have even beaten a shot Roy. He would have goten toyed with and abused like Lacy was. Look, no ones saying Green is worldbeater. But he is world-level, he has sound technical skills and very heavy hands. No-one should take him lightly. Roy did and that's why he got punished.

The point is you could do the same for Mundine and Green. Was Mundine really the same fighter when he lost to Ottke than when he whipped Green?

Everyone was picking Jones to put on a boxing display on his road to a rematch with Hopkins. So Green should definitely get some credit, did it much easier than anyone else including Tarver.

Can't see Mundine moving to light heavy. Can't see Green going below light heavy (or even below the 175 in some form of catchweight).

They should fight, but I doubt they will. Green can't drive a cab and isn't from Argentina for a start...

Mundine has gone downhill since the Green fight. Green has sort of gone up, retired, and now this (and the last fight of course) - which if nothing else proves he's better than Jeff Lacy I guess.....

You Danny Green cheerleaders are getting beyond yourselves. You act like Danny defeated a 1998 Roy Jones Jr. Pipe down!

Also a fair point. Green deserves credit for his win, but to claim Hopkins is a fraid to fight him is silly. I'm pretty sure the reason that he would want to stay with the plan to fight RJJ is because it would be by far a bigger money making endeavor, even at this point.
