Since Khan can't fight in September, Brook has a great chance of getting Floyd

    Agree?

There aren't that many legitimate options out there for Mayweather. From his point of view, Thurman is probably a risk he doesn't need to take at this point of his career. Khan can't fight in September so he's out. Garcia won't want the Mayweather fight, no chance. Brook has a belt and starting to develop a name in the US after his win against Porter and he'd be more than willing to fight Mayweather. I think he's more likely than Cotto again. It wouldn't do big numbers and wouldn't be very entertaining given the styles of both fighters, but it gets Floyd through his 49th fight, and then I think he finishes up against Pacquaio again in his 50th bout next year.

Brook has ZERO chance of getting Floyd. It will either be Thurman or Garcia. Wildcard is Cotto.

I agree regarding Kell (he has practically no chance of that fight).

    What about Cotto, Rico?

What makes you think that? Lack of a name in the US?

Yes he is a nobody. He has an even less chance than Khan and Khan doesn't have a chance of getting the fight.

Guerrero wasn't much of a name at the time. More of a name than Brook, granted, but still not exactly in the public consciousness. Really can't see Floyd fighting Thurman at this time.

But you agree, Brook would be the perfect opponent if Floyd has his final fight in Wembley?

Id love to see Khans face if Floyd fights Brook

Floyd will never fight anywhere but Vegas because of the Taxes and the use of numbing agents being legal.

I actually considered Cotto to be a viable opponent.

I would LOVE for Kell to get the fight, but it just aint happening.

Of the likely opponents, Garcia would be the fight I would like to see (assuming that Cotto is not in the mix).

Yeah, it'll be vegas all the way, and his 49th won't be his last fight! I'd bet my house on Pacquiao rematch being 50.

Neither of those are appealing to me personally. He's already beaten Cotto comprehensively, and the Garcia fight would be a one sided whupping of epic proportions. At least Brook is slick, talented and very big for a welterweight, might be a half decent fight.

i think thurman deserves it but its gunna end up being danny garcia cuz the fans are listing danny as a worthy opponent which he is but floyd can beat him on speed n movement alone .

Can you imagine Khan if Kell did get the fight?? :rofl

As Rico rightly pointed out, due to tax reasons and it being his home town (why would Floyd bite the hand that may well feed him when he retires?) Vegas is the only place where Floyd will fight.

    Agreed!!

Brook would be the most deserving of those who haven't fought Floyd (Floyd still beats him comfortably and im a huge Kell fan) but I really do not think that Kell is being seriously considered as an opponent.

It is what it is, unfortunately.
